Michigan State Tax Return Error - Wrong Info Message Won't Go Away
Been trying to check my Michigan state refund status for weeks now and keep getting an error message saying wrong information. Triple checked everything - SS#, amount, everything matches my return exactly. Starting to get worried since its been 8 weeks since I filed. Anyone else dealing with this or know what's going on?

Michigan tax specialist here - this is actually pretty common right now. The MI Treasury's Where's My Refund tool is having verification issues. If it's been more than 6 weeks, call them directly at 517-636-4486. They're backed up but getting through to a person is your best bet.
