Michigan State Tax Return Shows "Completed" on Feb 3 But No Refund Date Yet - Filed Jan 29 with Homestead Credit
Filed my taxes and my state refund status just changed to complete today but still no direct deposit date showing up anywhere. I've been checking WMR and transcripts daily but nothing new. I filed my Michigan state tax return on January 29, 2025. I can see on the Michigan Department of Treasury eServices website for Individual Income Tax that my return included: - MI-1040 Individual Income Tax Return - MI-1040CR Homestead Property Tax Credit Claim Under "2024 Tax Return" details, it shows: Date: Jan 28, 2025 Description: "We have received your Tax Return." And then: Date: Feb 3, 2025 Description: "Return is completed." But there's still no information about when I'll actually receive my refund. No direct deposit date showing up anywhere. I've been religiously checking WMR and my transcripts daily, but there's nothing new there either. Starting to get worried since bills are piling up and I was really counting on this money. Anyone else seeing this with their Michigan state refund? How long after "completed" status did you actually receive your money?

Tax pro here - this is actually pretty common. State and federal processing are completely separate systems. Your state being complete doesn't necessarily mean your federal is close behind. Keep checking your federal transcripts for updates, particularly the account transcript which will show your DDD first.

Check your cycle code on your account transcript. If your cycle code ends in 05, you typically update on Thursday nights/Friday mornings. If it ends in 02, updates usually happen Monday/Tuesday.
