Stuck in identity verification hell with unemployment. Any tips?
Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with identity verification. Has anyone else dealt with this? It's really frustrating and I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, identity verification is such a pain! I had to deal with it last month. What exactly is the issue you're having?

They keep saying my documents aren't clear enough, but I've sent them like 5 times already! It's driving me crazy 😤

Oh man, I feel you. Have you tried going to the office in person? Sometimes that helps speed things up.

I haven't yet, but that might be my next step. Thanks for the suggestion!

Identity verification is the worst. I swear they make it difficult on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits. The whole system needs an overhaul.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone about this. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://claimyr.com

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

Idk man, paying $20 just to talk to someone seems sketchy. Shouldn't this be a free service?

I get the skepticism, but honestly, after weeks of trying to get through, it was worth every penny for me. Saved me so much time and stress.

Here's what worked for me with identity verification: 1. Make sure all your documents are clear and well-lit 2. Double-check that the information matches exactly what's in your application 3. If possible, use a scanner instead of phone photos 4. Follow up with a phone call after submitting (use the trick mentioned above if you can't get through) 5. Be persistent! Don't give up if they reject it the first time Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster.

I hadn't thought of that! Do you know how I would go about contacting them?

Just google your district and 'state representative'. Most have contact forms on their websites. Explain your situation and they might be able to help!

Honestly, I think it was just persistence. I called every day for a week straight until I got someone who actually knew what they were doing.
