ID.ME Login Issues with New Phone Number - Need Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble logging into ID.ME with my new phone number. Has anyone else dealt with this? It's so frustrating because I can't access my account now. Any tips on how to get this sorted out?

Ugh, I had the same issue last month. It's a total pain in the butt. Have you tried contacting their support? They might be able to help you update your phone number on file.

â˘I tried calling but the wait times are insane. Been on hold for hours đŤ Did you have any luck getting through to them?

â˘Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in 15 minutes doing that!

I found a way to get someone on the phone fast. I used this site called claimyr.com that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then calls you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20 but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/AsdxiF0IH1k

â˘For me it was. Time is money, and I wasted way more than $20 worth of time trying to get through on my own.

Have you tried resetting your password? Sometimes that can help bypass the phone number issue. Go to the login page and click 'Forgot Password'. might work đ¤

This whole ID.ME system is a joke. Why do they make it so hard for us to access our own accounts? 𤏠I've been locked out for weeks because of a similar issue.

â˘Preach! đ The government needs to do better. We're already stressed about our benefits, and then we gotta deal with this nonsense.

Here's what worked for me when I had this problem: 1. Go to the ID.ME website and click on the 'Contact Support' link 2. Fill out the support form, explaining your situation in detail 3. In the meantime, try logging in using a different browser or incognito mode 4. If that doesn't work, wait for their email response (took about 2 days for me) 5. Follow their instructions carefully - they'll likely ask you to verify your identity again 6. Once verified, you should be able to update your phone number Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Have you tried reaching out to them on social media? Sometimes companies respond faster there. Worth a shot!

I went through this exact same nightmare a few months ago! What finally worked for me was going through the identity verification process again from scratch. Here's what I did: 1) Clear your browser cache and cookies completely 2) Go to ID.ME and start a fresh account verification (don't try to log into your existing account) 3) Use your new phone number during the verification 4) They'll ask you to upload documents again - just do it 5) Once verified with your new number, contact support to merge/transfer your old account data. It's a pain but it worked for me after being locked out for 3 weeks. The whole process took about a week but at least I got back in! Good luck! đ
