ID.ME Login Issues with New Phone Number - Need Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble logging into my ID.ME account because I got a new phone number. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on how to update my info or get back in?

Ugh, been there done that. It's such a pain to update anything with ID.ME. Have you tried calling their support line? It took me like 2 hours on hold, but they eventually helped me out.

•2 hours?! That's insane. I swear these systems are designed to make us give up 🤦♂️

•Thanks for the tip. I'll try calling them tomorrow. Fingers crossed it doesn't take that long 🤞

I found a way to get someone on the phone fast. I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it saved me hours of waiting. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/AsdxiF0IH1k

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I'm skeptical. $20 just to make a phone call? 🤔

•I get the skepticism, but it really worked for me. Saved me a ton of time and frustration. Worth every penny imho.

Have you tried resetting your password through their website? Sometimes that can bypass the phone number verification.

ID.ME is the worst. I had to verify my identity with them for unemployment and it was a nightmare. Good luck, OP!

•Same here! Took me weeks to get it sorted out. The whole system is broken 😤

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out to them on Twitter. Sometimes their social media team can help or at least escalate your case.

•Oh that's smart, I didn't even think of that. I'll give it a shot, thanks!

Here's what worked for me: 1. Go to the ID.ME website 2. Click on 'Forgot Password' 3. Enter your email 4. On the next screen, choose 'I don't have access to this phone number' 5. They'll give you options to verify another way Hope this helps!
