EDD Login Error: ID Linked to Different Account & Missing Payment - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble logging into my account. It says my ID number is being used for a different account. I'm also missing a payment - I've only received one so far. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to handle it?

Ugh, that sucks. I had a similar issue last month. Turns out there was a mix-up with my identity verification. Have you tried calling them?

•Not yet, I'm dreading the long wait times. Did you manage to get through?

•Yeah, it took forever 🙄 But once I got through, they were able to fix it pretty quick. Just make sure you have all your docs ready!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in like 15 mins last time I tried that.

This happened to me too! It's so frustrating. I think it might be a glitch in their system. I had to go through a whole identity verification process again. 🤦♂️

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep...

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, ya know? 🤷♂️

Have you checked if there's been any identity theft? Sometimes scammers use other people's info to file fake claims. Might be worth looking into.

•Oh man, I hadn't even thought of that. How would I check?

•You can start by checking your credit report for any suspicious activity. Also, contact the unemployment office directly to report potential fraud.

The whole system is a joke tbh. They need to upgrade their tech or something. I've been dealing with issues for months now. 😤

Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your documents: ID, SSN, any correspondence from them, etc. 2. Try to log in again and screenshot any error messages. 3. Call them first thing in the morning (use that Claimyr thing if you're desperate). 4. When you get through, explain calmly that your ID is linked to another account and you're missing a payment. 5. Ask them to verify your identity on the spot. 6. If they can't resolve it immediately, ask for a case number and a direct callback. 7. Follow up every few days if it's not resolved. Stay persistent! The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Good luck!
