SDI stopped automatic pregnancy payments, now wants form submission. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my SDI payments. I was supposed to get automatic payments due to my pregnancy, but now they're telling me I need to submit a form. I just checked my messages and found out about this. Has anyone else dealt with this? It's so frustrating because I was counting on that money. Any advice on what to do next?

Ugh, classic SDI nonsense. They always find a way to make things more complicated. Have you tried calling them? Maybe they can explain what form you need to submit.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Sometimes you can get through faster that way.

I had a similar issue last year. turns out they needed some additional medical documentation. Check your online account, there might be more info there about what exactly they need from you.

This happened to me too! It's so stressful when you're pregnant and dealing with all this bureaucracy. Hang in there, mama! 💖

•Thank you! It's nice to know I'm not alone in this. How did you end up resolving it?

•I had to fax them some additional paperwork. It took a few weeks, but eventually got sorted out. Just keep following up!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Log into your SDI online account and check for any pending forms or requests. 2. If you can't find anything there, try to fax or mail a letter explaining your situation. 3. Keep detailed records of all your attempts to contact them. 4. If possible, get your doctor's office involved. Sometimes they can help push things through. 5. As a last resort, contact your local state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help with SDI issues. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The system is frustrating, but you'll get through this.

The whole system is broken. We need to demand better from our government agencies!
