EDD payment pending and CALjobs resume upload issue - Need help!

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my unemployment payment and CALjobs. My payment is pending and I can't seem to download my resume to CALjobs. Anyone else experiencing similar problems or know what might be causing this? Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been dealing with EDD issues for weeks now. For the pending payment, it could be a few things: 1. Identity verification issues 2. Eligibility questions 3. System glitches Best bet is to call EDD directly, but good luck getting through. As for CALjobs, make sure your resume is in the right format (usually PDF or Word). Sometimes their system acts up tho, so you might need to try again later.

Calling EDD? LOL good luck with that. I spent 3 days trying to get through. Its like winning the lottery 🤡

fr fr, EDD's phone system is a joke. I swear they do it on purpose to discourage ppl from claiming benefits 🙄

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I've been trying to call but no luck so far. Guess I'll keep trying 😩

I actually found a way to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 😤

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

How long did you have to wait after using the service?

It took about 2 hours, but I just went about my day and they called me when an agent was on the line. Way better than being stuck to my phone all day

For the CALjobs issue, try clearing your browser cache and cookies. Sometimes that fixes weird glitches with the site. If that doesn't work, try using a different browser altogether.

Pending payments are the worst! I had this happen last month. Turns out I answered one of the certification questions wrong. Double-check your answers for any mistakes.

Oh man, I didn't even think of that. I'll go back and review my answers. Thanks for the tip!

Those questions can be so confusing sometimes. I wish they'd make them clearer 🤦‍♂️

Have you checked your UI Online account for any notifications or messages? Sometimes they'll post important info there about claim issues.

I did check, but there's nothing new there. Just adds to the frustration 😫

idk about the payment issue, but for CALjobs, make sure your resume file isn't too large. They have a size limit that's pretty small. Try compressing your file if its a PDF.

This might sound crazy, but have you tried faxing EDD? Sometimes old school methods work when everything else fails. Just a thought 🤷‍♀️

Faxing? What year is it, 1995? 🤣 But honestly, might be worth a shot at this point

I actually tried this once. Sent like 20 pages. Never heard back. But hey, maybe you'll have better luck!

Ugh, I'm in the same boat with a pending payment. Been waiting for 3 weeks now. This system is so broken. Hang in there, OP!

Pro tip: If you do manage to get through on the phone, ask for a tier 2 specialist right away. The first-level reps often can't help with complex issues.

This! 💯 Tier 2 is where its at. They have way more power to fix things

I had a similar issue with CALjobs not letting me upload my resume. Turns out the file name had special characters in it (like &, %, etc.) that were causing problems. Try renaming your resume file to something simple like "FirstName_LastName_Resume.pdf" with no spaces or special characters. Also make sure it's under 2MB. That fixed it for me! As for the pending payment, definitely double-check your certification answers like others mentioned. Sometimes even a small mistake can flag your claim for review.
