CalJobs Resume Upload Stuck on Account Verification - Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble uploading my resume on CalJobs. The system is asking for account verification, but I can't seem to get past it. Has anyone else run into this issue? Any tips on how to get it sorted out? I really need to get my resume up there ASAP for job hunting.

Ugh, CalJobs is such a pain! I had the same problem last month. Have you tried using a different browser? Sometimes that works for me when the site is being glitchy.

•Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a shot. Did you have to do anything special for the account verification part?

•Nah, just the usual stuff - ID, SSN, that kinda thing. But make sure all your info matches EXACTLY what's on your ID. Even a small typo can mess it up.

CalJobs is the worst 🤮 I swear they make it difficult on purpose. Have you tried calling their support line? Sometimes talking to a real person can help sort things out faster.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

•I know it sounds crazy, but it actually does work. I was skeptical too, but after spending hours trying to get through, it was worth every penny. Saved me so much time and frustration.

•I get the skepticism, but it's legit. They even have a money-back guarantee if you don't get connected. It's not perfect, but it beats sitting on hold for hours.

Have you checked if your account is locked? Sometimes they do that for security reasons and you need to contact them directly to unlock it. It's a pain in the butt, but it might be why you can't upload your resume.

•I didn't even think of that! How would I know if it's locked?

•Usually you'll get an error message saying your account is locked when you try to log in. If you're not seeing that, it might be something else. But def worth checking!

Okay, let me break this down for you. I've been through the CalJobs wringer and here's what you need to know: 1. First, make sure your browser is up to date. CalJobs can be finicky with older versions. 2. Clear your cache and cookies before trying again. 3. Double-check ALL your personal info. Even a slight mismatch can trigger verification issues. 4. If you're still stuck, try uploading your resume as a different file format. Sometimes .docx works when .pdf doesn't, or vice versa. 5. Make sure your resume file size isn't too large. Try compressing it if it's over 1MB. 6. If none of that works, you might need to create a new account. It's annoying, but sometimes it's the only way. 7. As a last resort, reach out to their tech support. Be prepared for a wait, but they can usually sort it out. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need any more details on these steps.

Hey OP, just wondering - have you tried reaching out to your local job center? Sometimes they have staff who can help you navigate CalJobs in person. Might be worth a shot if you're still stuck.

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago! What worked for me was making sure I was using Chrome (not Safari or Firefox) and temporarily disabling my ad blocker. Also, check if your pop-up blocker is on - sometimes the verification window gets blocked. If you're still having trouble, try doing it during off-peak hours like early morning or late evening when the system isn't as overloaded. The whole process is definitely frustrating but hang in there!

•Thanks for the browser tip! I never would have thought about the ad blocker being an issue. That makes total sense though - these government sites are so picky about what they allow. I'll definitely try the early morning approach too, hadn't considered that the system might be overloaded during peak hours.

I've been dealing with this exact same issue! What finally worked for me was logging out completely, clearing my browser cache, and then logging back in using a fresh incognito/private browsing window. Also make sure you're not using any VPN or proxy - CalJobs seems to flag those as suspicious. The account verification is super sensitive to any inconsistencies, so double-check that your name is entered exactly as it appears on your ID (including middle initials, hyphens, etc.). If you uploaded any documents before, try deleting them and re-uploading with different file names. Sometimes their system gets confused by special characters or long file names. Good luck!
