Disconnected while on call with SDI - Tips to get through?

I got disconnected while on the phone with disability. Has anyone else had this problem? It's so frustrating to wait on hold forever only to get cut off. Now I have to start all over again. Any tips on how to get through to them?

I found a way to solve disability call disconnection issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lg5EXbjvuk

Ugh, that sucks! I've been there too. The disability phone system is a nightmare. I swear they do it on purpose to discourage people from calling. 🤬

Totally agree. Its like they want us to give up. But we cant let them win!

I wonder if theres a way to file a complaint about this. It's not fair to people who really need help.

Good idea! Maybe we should all flood their complaint line... oh wait, we cant even get through on the regular line šŸ™„

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure its legit?

20 bucks? Thats kinda steep just to make a phone call...

I get the skepticism, but it really did work for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through. Worth it IMO.

How long did you have to wait after using the service?

It took about an hour, but I didnt have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was on the line.

Pro tip: try calling right when they open. I've had better luck getting through early in the morning.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? Sometimes they can help push things through faster.

I hadn't thought of that. How do I find out who my assembly member is?

Just google '[your city] assembly member'. Their office should have a constituent services department that can help with state agency issues.

The whole system is broken. I've been trying to get my claim sorted for months. It's like they don't even care about us. 😤

Here's what I've learned after dealing with disability for way too long: • Keep a log of all your calls (date, time, who you spoke to if you get through) • Use the online portal as much as possible for updates • If you do get through, ask for a direct number or extension • Be persistent but polite - the person on the other end is probably overwhelmed too • Have all your docs ready before you call (claim number, ID, etc.) • If all else fails, contact your state representative Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but don't give up!

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely start keeping a log. Do you know if there's a best time of day to call?

In my experience, early morning (right when they open) or mid-afternoon on Wednesdays or Thursdays seem to have shorter wait times. But it can still be hit or miss.
