Can't reach EDD on disability line, payment delayed - Help!
I've been trying to get through to the disability line for days now, but I keep hitting a wall with the automated system. No luck connecting to a real person at all. On top of that, I still haven't received my payment. Anyone else dealing with this nightmare? Any tips on how to actually talk to a human being there?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been in the same boat for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually get help. Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that might increase your chances.

•I tried that and still no luck. its like playing the lottery, except the prize is just talking to someone who might be able to help 🙄

•Same here. I've tried morning, noon, and night. No dice. This system is so broken, it's not even funny anymore.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying, I was desperate enough to give it a shot. Totally worth it imo

•How long did you have to wait once it connected you?

•It took about an hour and a half total, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was on the line.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Keep detailed records of all your attempts to contact them. 2. If you do get through, ask for a direct number or extension for follow-up. 3. File a complaint with your state representative's office. Sometimes they can help push things along. 4. Check your online account regularly for updates or messages. 5. If you're really desperate, consider reaching out on social media. Sometimes public pressure works. Hang in there, everyone. I know it's tough, but persistence is key.

Has anyone tried faxing? I know it sounds like we're back in 1995, but I heard some people have had success that way.

•Calm down, buddy. Yelling won't solve anything. We're all frustrated here.

Has anyone had any luck with the online portal? I've been trying to update my info there, but it keeps glitching out on me.

•The online portal is a joke. I swear it was designed by monkeys 🐒

I'm starting to think we should all just show up at their office in person. Maybe then they'd have to deal with us!
