Need to speak with live EDD agent ASAP - automated system not cutting it. Any tips?
I need to get paid ASAP. I've been trying to reach someone at the unemployment office for days now. Every time I call, I just get an automated system. I really need to speak with a live person to resolve this issue. Has anyone had any luck getting through to a real human? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. I'm getting desperate here.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been in the same boat for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually get our benefits š

ā¢Seriously! It's like they're purposely making it difficult. I've spent hours on hold only to get disconnected.

ā¢Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard thats the best time to get through

ā¢Yeah, I've tried that. No luck. It's always busy or I get stuck in the automated system. š«

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

ā¢Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

ā¢I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through to a real person. Worth every penny imo

ā¢How long did you have to wait after using the service?

ā¢It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was on the line.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: ā¢ Call early in the morning, right when they open ā¢ If you get through to the automated system, try pressing 0 repeatedly ā¢ Use multiple phones to call at the same time (increases your chances) ā¢ Be persistent and don't give up ā¢ Check their website for any updates or new contact methods ā¢ Consider reaching out to your local representative for help It's a frustrating process, but keep at it. Eventually, you'll get through to someone who can help.

This whole system is a joke. They expect us to survive on nothing while they take their sweet time 'processing' our claims. š¤¬

ā¢Preach! š It's like they forget we have bills to pay and families to feed.

I heard they're understaffed due to budget cuts. Doesn't excuse the poor service, but might explain why it's so hard to get through.

ā¢That makes sense, but it's still not fair to those of us who are struggling. They need to fix this asap

Pro tip: if you have Twitter, try tweeting at their official account. Sometimes they respond faster there.
