How to verify PFL days and extend benefits? Need urgent advice!
Hey everyone, I need to verify my PFL days. Has anyone gone through this process recently? I'm not sure what documents I need or if I should have received any notices about my current status. Any advice on how to extend my benefits would be really helpful too!

I just went through this last month. You'll need to call and speak with an agent to discuss your eligibility and extension options. Make sure you have your claim number and any recent correspondence handy when you call. Good luck!

•Ugh, calling them is such a pain. I spent hours on hold last time I tried 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. You'll have a better chance of getting through quickly.

•Thanks for the advice! Do you remember what specific documents they asked for?

I found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•Is it really worth $20 tho? 🤔

•I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Totally worth it for me, especially when I needed to sort out my benefits ASAP.

Make sure you check your online account first! Sometimes they post notices there that don't get mailed out. I almost missed an important deadline because I didn't see an online notification.

Has anyone had luck extending their benefits recently? I heard they've been cracking down on extensions due to budget cuts 😬

•I managed to get a 2-week extension last month, but they said it was a one-time thing. Seems like they're being pretty strict.

•Same boat here. They told me extensions are case-by-case now. Gotta really prove you need it.

PSA: If youre verifying PFL days, make sure you have ALL your medical documentation in order. They've been rejecting claims left and right for incomplete paperwork. Double check everything before you submit!

•This!!! 💯 I learned the hard way and had to resubmit everything, which delayed my benefits by weeks.

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to be as confusing as possible? 🤡 I swear they make it hard on purpose so people just give up.

•Conspiracy theory: they hire ex-DMV employees to design their processes 😂

Here's a comprehensive guide for verifying and potentially extending your PFL benefits: 1. Check your online account for any recent notices or updates 2. Gather all relevant medical documentation, including: - Doctor's certification of your condition - Any treatment plans or therapy schedules - Updated medical evaluations if your condition has changed 3. Review your original claim approval letter for your current end date 4. Prepare a written statement explaining why you need an extension (if applicable) 5. Call the PFL office (use the Claimyr tool if you're having trouble getting through) 6. During the call: - Have your claim number ready - Ask about your current status and remaining days - Inquire about the extension process and eligibility - Take detailed notes of the conversation 7. Follow up with any additional documentation they request 8. If denied, ask about the appeals process Remember, persistence is key. Don't be afraid to call multiple times if you're not getting clear answers. Good luck!
