EDD online application keeps rejecting my driver's license info - help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble submitting my online application. The system keeps rejecting my driver's license info. Has anyone else run into this? Any tips on how to get it to go through?

I found a way to solve driver's license application rejection issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHz7-N2OdP0

Ugh, I had the same issue last week. So frustrating! Have you double-checked that you're entering everything exactly as it appears on your license? Sometimes even a tiny typo can cause it to reject.

Yeah, I've triple-checked everything. Still no luck 😫 It's driving me crazy!

Maybe try using all caps? Sometimes these systems are picky about formatting.

Good idea, I'll give that a shot. Thanks!

The online system is such a joke. I swear they make it difficult on purpose to discourage people from applying. 🙄

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're stuck in the stone age or something.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

It did for me! Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

Idk man, paying to talk to a government agency feels wrong. Shouldn't this be free?

I get where you're coming from, but my time is worth something too. After days of trying, I was happy to pay to solve the problem.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that can help with weird website issues.

Ok, so here's what worked for me after days of trying: 1. Use Google Chrome (it seems to work better than other browsers) 2. Clear your cache and cookies 3. Try entering your info in ALL CAPS 4. If you have any special characters in your name (like a hyphen), try removing them 5. Make sure your address matches EXACTLY what's on your license (including abbreviations) 6. If all else fails, try accessing the site during off-peak hours (like early morning) Hope this helps someone! It's a pain, but keep trying. You'll get through eventually!

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try all of these. You're a lifesaver! 🙏

Saving this comment for later. Solid gold info right here! 💯

Anyone else think its ridiculous that we have to jump through all these hoops just to file a claim? The system is broken af 😤

Totally agree. It's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible.

Welcome to bureaucracy 101 lol. Where everything's made up and your time doesn't matter!

Pro tip: if you're really stuck, try contacting your local state representative's office. They often have direct lines to the unemployment office and can help push things through.

This! 👆 My rep's office was super helpful when I was having issues. Definitely worth a try.

I had this exact same problem! What finally worked for me was using a different device entirely. I kept trying on my laptop with no luck, but when I switched to my phone it went through immediately. Also make sure you're not using any browser extensions that might interfere with the form submission. Sometimes ad blockers or privacy extensions can mess with government websites. Good luck!

That's a great point about trying different devices! I never would have thought of that. I've been banging my head against the wall using the same laptop for days. Definitely going to try my phone next. Thanks for the tip about browser extensions too - I do have a bunch of those running that could be causing issues.

I just went through this nightmare myself last month! The trick that finally worked for me was switching to incognito/private browsing mode. Something about the cookies or session data was causing issues. Also, if your license has any punctuation (like Jr., Sr., or II), try entering it exactly as it appears AND also try without the punctuation marks. The EDD system seems super finicky about formatting. Don't give up - it took me 6 attempts but it eventually went through!

Incognito mode is such a smart idea! I've been trying the same browser session over and over like an idiot. And you're so right about the punctuation - my middle name has an apostrophe and I bet that's what's been tripping it up. Going to try both ways right now. Really appreciate you sharing what worked for you - gives me hope that I'm not completely stuck! 🤞
