EDD login error: CA license already linked to active user - Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble logging into my EDD account online. When I try to set it up, it says my CA license number is already linked to an active user. I tried to apply a few weeks ago and noticed this issue. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Ugh, that sucks. I had a similar issue last year. Have you tried calling EDD directly? They might be able to help you sort it out.

Yeah, I've been trying to call but can't get through. It's so frustrating!

Calling EDD is like trying to win the lottery 🤣 Good luck with that!

True that! 😅 Maybe try early in the morning? That worked for me once.

This happened to me too! Turns out someone had used my license number by mistake. I had to file an identity theft report with EDD. It's a whole process, but it eventually got sorted.

Oh no, that sounds like a nightmare. How long did the process take?

It took about 3 weeks, but felt like forever. Make sure you keep all your documents handy!

Have you checked if there's an option on the EDD website to report this issue? Sometimes they have forms for these specific problems.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? 😬 That's steep for something that should be free.

I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally talk to someone and get my issue resolved.

Here's what I'd recommend: 1. Double-check that you're entering your license number correctly. Sometimes a simple typo can cause this issue. 2. If that's not the problem, try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then attempt to log in again. 3. If it still doesn't work, you might need to contact EDD directly. Try their online contact form if phone calls aren't getting through. 4. As a last resort, you may need to visit an EDD office in person. Bring all your identification documents with you. 5. Keep a record of all your attempts to resolve this issue. It might come in handy later. Remember, persistence is key when dealing with government systems. Don't give up!

Have you considered that this might be a sign of identity theft? Maybe someone else is using your info. Might want to check your credit report just to be safe.

Quick question - are you sure you're using the right website? There are some scam sites out there that look legit but are just trying to steal your info.

Yeah, I double-checked and I'm definitely on the official EDD site. Good looking out though!
