EDD Error E324 Preventing Paid Family Leave Claim Submission - Help!
I'm trying to submit my paid family leave claim online, but I keep getting an error that prevents me from completing the process. The system is unable to process my request for claimant registration. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get through to a live agent or resolve this issue?

Ugh, I feel your pain! 😫 I had the same issue last month. The online system is a total nightmare. Have you tried calling their helpline? It's a pain, but sometimes it's the only way to get things sorted.

•I've been trying to call, but I can never get through. It's so frustrating! How long did it take you to finally reach someone?

•Honestly, it took me like 3 days of constant redialing. I felt like I was losing my mind 🤪 But once I got through, the agent was actually pretty helpful. Hang in there!

•Pro tip: try calling right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

•I was skeptical too, but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

•Is this even legal? Seems like it might be against EDD's terms of service or something.

•As far as I know, it's totally legit. They're just automating the hold process. You still talk to a real EDD agent yourself.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies 2. Try using a different browser 3. Double-check all your info is entered correctly 4. If all else fails, try the mobile app instead of the website Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more details on any of these steps.

The EDD system is a JOKE 🤡 I've been dealing with errors for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to get our benefits. Anyone else feel like the whole thing is rigged against us?

•Preach! 🙌 I swear they make it complicated on purpose. It's all about keeping that money in their pockets instead of helping people who need it.

•C'mon guys, it's not a conspiracy. The system is just old and overloaded. They're trying their best with limited resources.

Have you tried contacting your local state representative? Sometimes they can help push things through when you're stuck in the system. Worth a shot!

•I hadn't thought of that. How do I find out who my representative is?

•Just google '[your city] state representative' and it should come up. Most have contact forms on their websites. Good luck!

PSA: There's a known glitch in the system right now affecting claimant registration. EDD says they're working on it, but no ETA on the fix. Source: https://edd.ca.gov/about_edd/system_status.htm

•Great, so we're all just supposed to wait? Some of us have bills to pay 😤

Hey OP, when you do get through to someone, make sure you have all your docs ready. They'll ask for: - Your social security number - Your last employer's info - Reason for leave - Doctor's certification (if applicable) Having all this handy will speed things up a ton!

I ran into the exact same E324 error last week! What finally worked for me was switching to incognito/private browsing mode and making sure I wasn't using any browser extensions that might interfere. Also, I noticed the system seems to work better during off-peak hours (like early morning or late evening). If the technical fixes don't work, definitely try that calling service @Aisha Jackson mentioned - I was skeptical too but desperate times call for desperate measures! Hang in there, you'll get through this eventually 💪

•Thanks for the detailed advice @Jamal Harris! The incognito mode tip is genius - I never would have thought of that. I'm definitely going to try the off-peak hours approach too. It makes sense that the system would be less overloaded during those times. Really appreciate you sharing what actually worked for you! 🙏

I've been dealing with E324 errors too and it's incredibly frustrating! One thing that helped me was making sure my browser was completely up to date - apparently some older browser versions don't play well with the EDD system. Also, if you're using any ad blockers or privacy extensions, try disabling them temporarily as they can sometimes interfere with the form submission process. I know it sounds basic, but sometimes it's the simple fixes that work. Another tip: try copying your info into a text document first so you don't lose everything if the page crashes again. Good luck, and don't give up - we'll all get through this eventually! 🤞

•This is such great advice @Emily Thompson! I never thought about ad blockers potentially interfering with the submission. I've been banging my head against the wall with this E324 error for days now. The tip about copying info into a text document is brilliant too - I've lost my progress so many times when the page crashes. Going to try updating my browser and disabling extensions right now. Thanks for giving me hope that there's actually a way through this mess! 🙏

I'm having the exact same E324 error! It's been driving me crazy for the past few days. I tried all the basic troubleshooting - clearing cache, different browsers, etc. - but nothing worked. Reading through these comments gives me some hope though. @Emily Thompson, I'm definitely going to try disabling my ad blocker and updating my browser. @Jamal Harris, the incognito mode idea is something I hadn't considered either. Has anyone had success with submitting the claim via phone instead of online? I'm wondering if it's worth skipping the online system entirely at this point and just going straight to calling, even if it means waiting on hold for hours. This whole process is so stressful when you're already dealing with family leave issues! 😩
