EDD Account Shows Approved but No Direct Deposit - What's Going On?
Hey everyone, I'm in a weird situation. My online account shows that I'm approved for benefits, but I haven't received any direct deposit yet. Has anyone else experienced this? It's been a few days now and I'm starting to get worried. Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, I've been there. The system is so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? Sometimes there's a glitch in their system and you need to talk to someone to get it sorted out.

•I've been trying to call but can't get through. It's like hitting a brick wall every time 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way!

Check your bank account info on the website. Sometimes they have the wrong routing number or account number, and that can delay things.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•How long did you have to wait for the call back?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but beats spending all day trying to get through!

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes the notification emails end up there. Also, it can take up to 10 business days for the first payment to hit your account after approval.

•Good idea, I'll double check my spam. And thanks for the info about the 10 days, that makes me feel a bit better!

This happened to me last year. Turns out there was an identity verification issue that I had to clear up. Definitely try to get someone on the phone if you can. In the meantime, make sure you've uploaded all the necessary documents to your online account.

The whole system is a joke. They approve you just to make you think everythings fine, then ghost you for weeks 🙄 Welcome to bureaucracy hell!

•Preach! 🙌 I swear they do this on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your bank info on the website 2. Look for any pending action items or messages in your online account 3. Check your email (including spam) for any communications 4. If it's been more than 10 business days since approval, try to contact them 5. Keep certifying for benefits weekly, even if you haven't received payment yet 6. Document everything - dates, times, who you spoke to if you manage to get through If all else fails, consider reaching out to your local state representative. They sometimes can help push things through. Hang in there, the system is frustrating but you'll get your money eventually!

•Great advice. I'd add: join Facebook groups for your state's unemployment. Sometimes they have insider tips or can alert you to known system issues.

I'm in the exact same boat. Approved two weeks ago, still no money. This is so stressful 😓
