CA PFL claim pending since 2/27 - How to speed up EDD process?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been waiting since January for my PFL claim to be processed. It's ridiculous how long they're taking. Have you tried calling them? I've heard some people have had luck getting through and getting answers.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Call regularly and ask for updates. 3. Contact your local state representative. Sometimes they can help expedite things. 4. Check your online account for any pending tasks or required documents. 5. If possible, submit any additional info or docs even if not requested. It might help move things along. Hang in there! The system is overwhelmed, but they'll get to your claim eventually.

have u checked ur spam folder? sometimes important emails from edd end up there. also make sure ur contact info is up to date in the system

I'm in the same boat, friend. Been waiting since early March. It's like they're playing baseball with our claims and we all struck out 😩

Just a heads up, I heard they're implementing a new system soon that's supposed to speed things up. Might be worth holding out a bit longer before going nuclear with complaints.

unpopular opinion: maybe we should all just be grateful we have PFL at all? lots of states don't even offer it. yeah the wait sucks but at least we'll get paid eventually

Has anyone tried faxing their documents instead of uploading online? I've heard it can sometimes be faster.
