PFL Claim Pending - Tips to Speed Up Process?

Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a pending Paid Family Leave claim and I'm not sure what to do next. Has anyone else gone through this process recently? Any tips on how to speed things up or what I should expect? I'm getting a bit anxious about the wait time.

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through this last year and it was a nightmare. Took them forever to process my claim. Have you tried calling them? That's what finally worked for me.

I've been trying to call but can never get through. How long did you have to wait on hold?

Honestly, it was ridiculous. I think I spent like 3 hours on hold one day. But keep trying, eventually you'll get someone!

3 hours? You got lucky! I've heard of people waiting 6+ hours and still not getting through. The system is so broken šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Make sure all your paperwork is in order. Double check everything before submitting. I had to wait an extra month because I missed a signature on one form. Don't make my mistake!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I was skeptical too, but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth it IMO.

Idk man, seems kinda sketchy. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it's legit. They even have a money-back guarantee if it doesn't work. Just sharing what helped me šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Here's what I've learned from my experience with PFL claims: • Be patient. The process can take 2-4 weeks on average, sometimes longer. • Keep all your documentation organized and easily accessible. • If you need to call, try early in the morning or late afternoon. • Check your claim status online regularly. • If your employer needs to submit any forms, follow up with them to ensure it's done promptly. • Don't hesitate to reach out to your local representative if you're facing extreme delays. • Join Facebook groups or forums specific to PFL in your state - they often have great tips and updates. Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP. šŸ’Ŗ

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! This is super helpful. I'll definitely try calling during those times you suggested.

Great advice! I'd add: take notes of every interaction, including names of reps you speak to. It can help if you need to escalate later.

Just went thru this. My claim was pending for 6 weeks before I finally got approved. Hang in there, OP! The waiting game sucks but it'll get sorted eventually.
