SDI payment not in bank account - need advice on confirming details

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my SDI payment. I was supposed to receive it today, but it's not showing up in my bank account. I've checked for pending transactions, but there's nothing there. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking about calling to confirm my bank details, but I'm not sure what else I should ask or do. Any advice would be appreciated!

I found a way to solve delayed SDI payment issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCRDmIHje8k

Ugh, I've been there before. It's so frustrating when you're counting on that money and it doesn't show up. Have you tried logging into your SDI account online to see if it shows as processed on their end?

Thanks for the suggestion! I just checked my account and it says the payment was processed. I guess I'm just worried about where it went if it's not in my account 😰

That's good news at least! It probably just means there's a delay in the bank processing. Give it another day or two before you start to panic 👍

I had a similar issue last month. Turns out my bank info was outdated in their system. Definitely call and confirm your details ASAP. Better safe than sorry!

Here's a pro tip for when you call: Ask them to verify BOTH your routing number AND account number. Sometimes they only check one and miss errors in the other. Also, make sure to get a confirmation number or email for the call. You never know when you might need proof that you tried to resolve the issue.

This is super helpful, thank you! I'll make sure to ask for both numbers and get that confirmation. Fingers crossed it's just a simple fix 🤞

Good advice! I'd also recommend asking them to read back the numbers to you, just to be extra sure. Sometimes they can transpose digits when entering info.

lol welcome to the wonderful world of SDI where nothing ever works right 🤡 I swear they do this on purpose to make us suffer

Cmon man, thats not helpful. The SDI folks are probably overworked and understaffed like everyone else. No need to assume malice.

whatever dude, keep defending the system that keeps screwing us over 🙄

I found a method to get someone on the phone quickly. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo.

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken if we have to pay extra just to get basic service.

I get it, but think about how much your time is worth. For me, not sitting on hold for 3 hours was definitely worth $20.

Hey OP, here's a comprehensive guide for dealing with SDI payment issues: 1. Check your SDI account online: Verify the payment status and date. 2. Contact your bank: Ask if there are any pending deposits or issues with your account. 3. Call SDI: Confirm all your details, including routing and account numbers. 4. Request a trace: If the payment was sent but not received, ask SDI to initiate a trace. 5. Document everything: Keep records of all calls, emails, and conversations. 6. Consider direct deposit: If you're not using it already, it's usually faster than paper checks. 7. Be patient: Sometimes payments can take 2-3 business days to process. 8. Follow up: If not resolved in a week, call again and escalate if necessary. Remember, persistence is key. Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself!

Wow, this is incredibly helpful! Thank you so much for taking the time to write all this out. I'll definitely follow these steps 💯

This should be pinned or added to the FAQ. So many people have payment issues and this covers pretty much everything!

have u tried turning it off and on again? 🤣 jk jk. but srsly, sometimes the SDI website glitches. try clearing ur cache and cookies, then log in again. might show diff info

Not to freak you out, but make sure it wasn't fraud. My cousin had her SDI payments redirected to a scammer's account last year. It was a whole mess to sort out.

Oh no, that sounds awful! I'll definitely ask about that when I call. Thanks for the heads up!

Just went through this exact same situation last week! My payment showed as processed on the SDI website but didn't hit my account for 4 days. Turns out my bank had some internal processing delays they didn't tell me about. I'd suggest calling both SDI AND your bank to cover all bases. Also, if you have online banking, check if there's a separate "pending deposits" section - mine showed up there before it actually posted to my account balance. Hope this helps and you get it sorted soon! 🤞

This is really reassuring to hear! I was starting to worry something was seriously wrong, but knowing it can take a few days even when it shows as processed makes me feel better. I'll definitely check for that pending deposits section - I didn't even know that was a thing. Thanks for sharing your experience! 🙏

I went through something similar a few months ago and it was nerve-wracking! Here's what worked for me: first, screenshot your SDI account showing the payment as processed - this will be helpful if you need to escalate later. When you call SDI, ask them to confirm not just your bank details but also the exact date and method they sent the payment. Sometimes there are processing delays on weekends or holidays that they don't always mention upfront. Also, if your bank has a 24/7 customer service line, it might be worth calling them too to see if they can see any incoming ACH transfers that haven't posted yet. Hang in there - these things usually resolve within a few business days, but I know how stressful the waiting can be when you need that money! 💪
