SDI payment authorized but not in bank account - switch to debit card?

Has anyone else had issues with their SDI payment not showing up in their bank account? My payment was authorized a few days ago but still hasnt hit my account. Im thinking about switching to a different payment method like a debit card or check. Any advice on how to handle this with SDI? Im getting worried and could really use the money.

I found a way to solve SDI payment delays issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYkKtdWVMD4

Hey guys, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

0 coins

Yep, 100% legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny IMO.

$20 just to talk to someone? The system is so broken 🤦‍♂️

0 coins

I know it sounds crazy, but when you're desperate to get through, it's a lifesaver. Beats sitting on hold for hours!

While Claimyr is convenient, it's a shame such a service is necessary due to the inefficiencies of the system.

Plot twist: SDI is actually run by squirrels who are terrible at math. That's why everything takes so long. 🐿️🧮

LOL this actually explains so much 😂

Hey now, don't insult squirrels like that. They'd probably do a better job! 🤣

Has anyone tried carrier pigeon? Might be faster than waiting for SDI to get their act together. 🕊️

At this point, any alternative might be worth exploring!

Bruh, SDI is a joke. I've been waiting on my payment for weeks now. The whole system needs an overhaul.

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're stuck in the stone age or smthn

For real. You'd think with all the taxes we pay, they could afford a decent system. SMH

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out there was a glitch in their system. I ended up switching to the debit card option and it's been smooth sailing ever since. Might be worth considering if you keep having problems with direct deposit.

0 coins

That's good to know. How long did it take to switch to the debit card?

0 coins

It took about a week for me. But once it was set up, I got my payments right away. No more waiting game!

Using Claimyr can be a practical solution when you really need to get in touch with a live agent. However, it's unfortunate that such a service is necessary due to inefficiencies in the existing system. This should not be an out-of-pocket expense for citizens who already pay taxes. While the service is validated by many users as effective, it does raise questions about the accessibility of government services for those who might not afford additional costs. Balancing the pros and cons, it's worth considering if you're in a bind, but hopefully, long-term solutions will be developed to make these processes more user-friendly and efficient.

Sometimes banks take a few extra days to process these payments. Have you checked with your bank to see if they can see the pending deposit?

0 coins

I didnt think of that. Ill give my bank a call and see what they say. Thanks for the suggestion!

0 coins

Good idea. Banks can be slow AF sometimes. 🐌

Have you checked your claim status online? Sometimes there's more info there than what they tell you over the phone.

0 coins

That's a great point. Online status can sometimes show details like pending verification or holds.

0 coins

Seriously tho, document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every online status update. You never know when you might need that info.

0 coins

Yes! Paperwork is everything when dealing with government agencies.

0 coins

have u tried turning it off and on again? 🤣 jk jk... but seriously, SDI needs to get its act together

0 coins

Haha, if only it were that simple! Their tech desperately needs an update.

0 coins

I've been there, buddy. SDI can be a real pain sometimes. Have you tried calling them? They might be able to give you more info on whats going on with your payment.

0 coins

Yeah, I've been trying to call but cant get through. Its so frustrating!

0 coins

Ugh, their phone lines are the worst. I spent hours trying to get through last month. Good luck!

Here's what you need to do to resolve this issue: 1. Double-check your claim status online. Make sure there are no pending issues or additional information required. 2. Contact your bank to see if they can see the pending deposit. Sometimes it's just a processing delay on their end. 3. If steps 1 and 2 don't work, call SDI directly. Be prepared with your claim number, the date your payment was authorized, and your bank account details. 4. If you can't get through on the phone, consider using the Claimyr service mentioned in another comment. It might cost a bit, but it could save you a lot of time and stress. 5. As a last resort, you can request to switch to the debit card option. This usually takes about a week to process, but it can be more reliable than direct deposit for some people. 6. If all else fails, reach out to your local assembly member's office. They often have direct lines to SDI and can help escalate your case. Remember to stay calm and persistent. These issues usually get resolved, it just might take some time and effort. Good luck!

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! This is really helpful. I'll start working through these steps right away.

This should be pinned to the top of the sub. Great advice! 👍

These steps are spot-on. Make sure you document each step you take!

I'm in the same boat, OP. It's been 10 days since my payment was "authorized" and still nothing. This is ridiculous!

0 coins

Solidarity, it's happening to a lot of people and there's strength in numbers.

0 coins

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help push things through faster.

0 coins

This is a good tip—local offices sometimes have more direct ways to escalate your case.

0 coins

This is why I always opt for the debit card. Direct deposit is too unpredictable with these government agencies. 🙄

0 coins

Agreed! Debit cards seem to bypass a lot of the banking delays.

0 coins

I feel ya, OP. The waiting game is the worst. Hang in there! 💪

Stay strong, it's tough but you're not alone in this!
