SDI 24-hour wait for callback - only one call per day? Need urgent help, complicated issue
I've been waiting for 24 hours to get a call from SDI and still nothing. They keep saying I'm next but it seems like they only make one call per day. This is ridiculous! I need to speak to a rep ASAP but the issue is too complicated to explain here. Anyone else dealing with this nonsense? How long have you been waiting?

I found a way to solve SDI call wait times, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvGhLp7kIXc

Have you tried calling them directly? I know it's a pain, but sometimes you gotta take matters into your own hands.

β’Yeah, I've tried calling but I can never get through. It's always busy or they hang up on me. π€

β’Same here. I've tried calling like 50 times a day. No luck. It's like trying to win the lottery.

β’Same. It's like their phone system is designed to fail. Has anyone managed to get through consistently?

Has anyone tried reaching out on social media? Sometimes companies respond faster when you call them out publicly.

β’I tweeted at them last week. Still crickets. π¦ Guess they're as responsive online as they are on the phone.

β’Social media is a hit or miss. Sometimes you get faster service, sometimes it echoes into the void. Worth trying though!

This is why we need to overhaul the entire system. It's not just SDI, it's unemployment, disability, everything. The whole thing is broken af.

β’Agreed, reform is long overdue. Continuously patching a broken system isn't working.

Welcome to the club, buddy. I've been waiting for 3 days now. It's like they're operating on a different planet where time moves slower. π

β’I feel you. It's like they think our time isn't valuable at all. What's the longest anyone's waited just to get a call back?

lol welcome to the wonderful world of government efficiency π€‘ I've been in the same boat for weeks. It's like they're playing a game of 'how long can we make people wait?

β’It's not just SDI, everything run by the government feels like a slow train sometimes. Hang in there!

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should cut them some slack. They're probably understaffed and overworked too.

β’Nah, they need to get their act together. We're talking about people's livelihoods here.

β’There's some truth in both viewpoints. The system needs fixing, but it is human-driven. More empathy and resources could help.

idk man, maybe we should all just show up at their office. Can't ignore us if we're right there, right? π

β’While it would be impactful, maybe not the most practical solution. Still, it shows the level of frustration.

I feel ya, OP. I struck out so many times trying to get through. It's like playing baseball with a team that never shows up to the field. πβΎ

Pro tip: if you call right when they open, you might have better luck. I got through after only 45 minutes on hold last week.

Anybody else notice how they always say 'high call volume' no matter when you call? Like, maybe hire more people instead of just blaming us for calling? π

William Rivera
β’FR! It's been 'high call volume' for like 2 years now. At some point, it's just normal call volume.

β’Plot twist: there's only one person answering all the calls π€£

β’Seriously, though. They need staffing adjustments. At this rate, they'd benefit from customer experience training too.

Have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds like we're back in the 90s, but I heard some people have had success that way.

β’Don't knock it till you try it! I faxed them and got a response in 3 days. It's like they time-traveled.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update stuff there without actually calling you.

Guys, I found a solution that actually works! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to your phone. It costs $20, but it's worth it if you're desperate. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

β’Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

β’Yep, 100% legit. I was skeptical too, but it worked for me. Got through in about 2 hours.

β’$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery!

β’I get it, but think about how much time and frustration it saves. For me, it was worth every penny.

β’I've heard mixed reviews about Claimyr, but it seems like people are generally satisfied with it. Just weigh the cost against your need.

I highly recommend giving Claimyr a try if you're struggling to get through to SDI. It's a service that accelerates the process by dialing the automated phone system for you and connecting once an agent is available. It might seem costly at $20 per use, but the convenience could be worth it, especially if youβre in a bind. However, it's important to consider that Claimyr is not the only solution out there. Exploring and combining different approaches, like contacting your representatives or using traditional methods like faxing, might be effective in certain cases. Ultimately, the goal is to reach a representative and resolve your issues as quickly as possible, so weighing the pros and cons of each option is key. Remember, persistence and patience are invaluable in this process.

I feel your pain. The SDI system is a total mess right now. I've been dealing with them for weeks and still no resolution. Here's what I've learned: β’ Persistence is key. Keep calling and trying to get through. β’ Document everything. Write down who you talk to, when, and what they say. β’ Be prepared with all your info when you finally get someone on the line. β’ Consider reaching out to your local representative for help. β’ Check your online account regularly for updates. It's frustrating, but hang in there. Eventually, you'll get through to someone who can help.

β’Good points. Keeping detailed records is crucial. They can't dispute facts when you've got everything logged.

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! Been waiting 3 days for a callback and nothing. The whole "you're next in line" message feels like a cruel joke at this point. I've tried calling early morning, late afternoon, even during lunch hours - same result every time. It's incredibly frustrating when you have urgent issues that need resolving and you're just stuck in limbo. Has anyone found a specific time of day that works better, or is it really just a matter of pure luck? This system definitely needs some serious improvements.

β’I totally feel your frustration! I'm dealing with the same nightmare right now. It's like they designed this system to make us give up. I've been trying for over a week and it's always the same story - "high call volume" and empty promises about callbacks. At this point I'm wondering if anyone actually works there or if it's just robots playing pre-recorded messages. The fact that we all have to resort to paid services or jumping through hoops just to talk to someone is absolutely ridiculous. Hang in there though - from what I'm reading here, persistence seems to be the only way forward, unfortunately. π€

I'm in the exact same boat and it's absolutely maddening! Been waiting 48 hours now for my "priority" callback that never came. The worst part is when you finally do get through to someone, half the time they transfer you and you get disconnected. I've started keeping a detailed log of every attempt - dates, times, reference numbers, who I spoke with - because at this point I'm convinced they just hope we'll give up. The system is beyond broken when people are literally paying third-party services just to get basic government assistance. We shouldn't have to choose between our time and our money to access services we're entitled to. Stay strong everyone - we're all in this frustrating mess together! πͺ
