SDI won't verify base salary, can't get through on phone. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I've been waiting for days to get my full salary because the SDI needs to verify my base salary. They asked me to return their call, but I can't seem to get through. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on how to speed up the process? I'm getting really frustrated with all this waiting!

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last month. It's like they purposely make it hard to get in touch with them. Have you tried calling first thing in the morning? That seemed to work for me after a few attempts.

•Thanks for the tip! I've tried calling at different times, but no luck so far. How long did it take you to finally get through?

•It took me about a week of trying every day 😩 Keep at it tho, you'll get there eventually!

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•Can you explain more about how it works? Do they just keep calling until they get through?

•Yeah, basically. They have some automated system that navigates the phone tree and waits on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls your phone. Pretty clever tbh

Have you tried faxing your information? Sometimes that can be faster than waiting on the phone. Just make sure to follow up with a call to confirm they received it.

This is why I always tell people to keep detailed records of their work history and paystubs. Makes these verifications so much easier. Hope you get it sorted out soon, OP!

Okay, listen up because I've been through this rodeo before and I've got some tips that might help: 1. Document everything. Every call, every letter, every interaction. This will be crucial if you need to escalate. 2. Try calling right when they open. Like, set an alarm and be ready to dial the second they're supposed to open. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try emailing. Sometimes you can find email addresses for specific departments. 4. Reach out to your local state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help with state agency issues. 5. Be persistent but polite. The person you finally talk to isn't responsible for the system, so being nice can go a long way. 6. If all else fails, consider filing a formal complaint. Sometimes this can get things moving. Remember, you're not alone in this. The system is frustrating for everyone, but stay persistent. You'll get there!

•Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll definitely try these tips. Especially reaching out to my state rep - I hadn't thought of that!

Have you tried checking your online account? Sometimes they update information there before they manage to call you back.
