How long for SDI claim update and direct deposit? Any notification?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get my SDI claim updated and get the direct deposit sent to my account. Anyone know how long this usually takes? Will I get a text notification or something when it's done? I'm getting kinda anxious waiting for it.

I found a way to speed up SDI direct deposit, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-obup_jHBkc

Ugh, I feel ya. I've been waiting on my SDI update for weeks now. It's like they're moving at a snail's pace or something. No text, no email, nothing. It's so frustrating!

weeks? try months 🙄 i swear the system is designed to make us give up

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can speed things up.

Call them? LOL good luck with that. I've been trying to get through for days. It's like playing the lottery, but with worse odds.

In my experience, it can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. They don't always send notifications, so you might want to check your account regularly. Have you tried logging into the SDI online portal? Sometimes updates show up there before you get any official communication.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I get it, but for me, it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting so much time trying to get through on my own.

Pro tip: If you're waiting on a direct deposit, make sure your bank account info is up to date in the system. I made that mistake and it delayed my payment by weeks. 🤦‍♂️

Oh snap, I didn't even think of that. Thanks for the heads up!

yall ever wonder if theres like ONE person working at SDI? cause thats what it feels like sometimes 🤣

One person? You're being generous. I'm pretty sure it's just a hamster running on a wheel at this point. 🐹

Here's what I've learned from dealing with SDI claims: 1. Be patient. Unfortunately, the process can take time. 2. Double-check all your information. Any small error can cause delays. 3. Keep all your documents organized and easily accessible. 4. If possible, use their online portal. It's often faster than mail. 5. If you need to call, try early in the morning or late in the afternoon. 6. Don't be afraid to follow up if it's been more than 2 weeks without any update. 7. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member's office if you're really stuck. They can sometimes help expedite things. Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP. We're all in the same boat.

This should be pinned or something. Super helpful!

have u tried sacrificing a goat to the SDI gods? heard that speeds things up 🐐🔮

Instructions unclear. Sacrificed my bank account instead. Still no payment. 😭

Hey Haley! I just went through this same process last month. For me, the direct deposit took about 10 business days to show up after my claim was approved. You won't get a text notification, but you should get an email confirmation once the payment is processed. I'd recommend checking your SDI online account every few days - that's usually where you'll see updates first. Also make sure your banking info is correct in the system (like Ali mentioned) because that's a common holdup. Hang in there, it's frustrating but it will come through!

Thanks for sharing your experience! 10 business days sounds reasonable. Did you have to do anything special to get the email confirmation, or did it just come automatically? I'm paranoid about missing notifications.
