EDD payment delay after submitting continuous eligibility questionnaire - what to do?
I just filled out my continuous eligibility questionnaire for unemployment and I'm supposed to get paid today, but there's no update on my phone. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do when I call them?

Ugh, I've been there. The system is so frustrating! Here's what I'd suggest: • Have all your claim details ready before you call • Ask them specifically about any issues with your recent submission • Get a timeline for when you can expect payment Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

•This is solid advice. I'd add: write down the name of who you talk to and get a reference number for the call. It helps if you need to follow up later.

•Preach! 🙌 I spent more time trying to get my benefits than I did looking for a new job lol

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20? That's steep. Is it really worth it?

•I get the skepticism, but for me it was totally worth it. Saved me hours of frustration and got my issue resolved. Your mileage may vary tho 🤷♂️

Has anyone tried reaching out to their local representative? I've heard that can sometimes help speed things up.

•I did this! It actually helped. Took about 2 weeks, but they got things moving for me.

Pro tip: if you can, try calling right when they open. I've had better luck getting through that way.

I went through the exact same thing last month! The continuous eligibility questionnaire can definitely cause delays. When you call, make sure to mention that you submitted it and ask specifically if there are any "pending issues" on your account. Sometimes they need to manually review responses even if everything looks fine on your end. Also, if you haven't already, check your UI Online account for any notices or requests for additional info. Hope you get it sorted out soon!

•This is really helpful! I didn't know about checking for "pending issues" specifically. That's probably exactly what I need to ask about when I call. Thanks for sharing your experience!
