EDD payment delay after submitting continuous claim form - no updates for 2+ weeks. What to do?

I filled out my continuous claim form for unemployment over two weeks ago and still haven't received my payment. It's supposed to cover through December 22nd. Has anyone else experienced delays? I'm getting worried because there are no updates on my account. What should I do?

I found a way to solve unemployment payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiNgpnrNXmY

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's so frustrating! I submitted mine around the same time and nada. Have you tried calling EDD? Good luck getting through tho 🙄

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins last week!

Hey there, I've been dealing with EDD for months now and here's what I've learned: 1. Delays are unfortunately common, especially around holidays. 2. Check your UI Online account daily for updates. 3. Make sure all your info is up to date and there are no pending questions. 4. If it's been more than 3 weeks, definitely try to contact them. 5. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes help expedite things. Hang in there! The system is frustrating but keep at it.

Thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll definitely check my account again and maybe try contacting my assembly member.

This is solid advice. The assembly member trick worked for me when I was stuck in limbo for 2 months!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

20 bucks? No way, I'd rather wait on hold myself.

I get the skepticism, but it's totally legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take for them to get through?

It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to be on the phone that whole time. They just called me when an agent was on the line.

This happened to me last month. Turns out there was a flag on my account for "additional verification" but they never notified me 🤦‍♂️ Def try to get ahold of someone if you can!

EDD is a joke. They need to upgrade their systems from the stone age. How are we supposed to survive when they can't even process claims on time? 🤬

Have you checked if there are any action items in your inbox on the EDD website? Sometimes they need additional info but don't make it obvious.

Just double-checked and my inbox is empty. Thanks for the suggestion though!
