EDD Extension Form Submitted - No Notice, No Payment. What to Do?
I submitted my extension form for unemployment benefits last week, but I haven't heard anything back. I got a confirmation that they received it, but no other notice. Now I'm worried because I haven't gotten paid for this past week. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do when I finally get through to someone on the phone?

I found a way to solve EDD extension delay issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iYlFkar4qI

Ugh, classic EDD bs. I've been in the same boat. Submitted my extension form like 3 weeks ago and radio silence. No payment, no updates, nada. It's like they enjoy watching us squirm 🙄

•Calling? LOL good luck with that. I've spent hours on hold only to get hung up on 🤡

Hey, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

When you get through to someone, make sure to mention: 1. The date you submitted your extension form 2. That you received a confirmation but no further notice 3. That you haven't been paid for the past week 4. Ask if there's any additional information they need from you 5. Request an estimated timeline for processing your extension Be polite but firm. Sometimes you gotta advocate for yourself in this broken system. Good luck!

•Thank you so much! This is really helpful. I'll definitely use these points when I call.

•Solid advice. I'd add: get the name of who you talk to and ask for a reference number for the call. CYA always!

I swear the EDD is running on Windows 95 or something. How hard is it to process a simple extension? 🤦♂️

•Windows 95? You're giving them too much credit. Pretty sure it's all done by carrier pigeon 🐦

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the main line, try calling your local assemblymember's office. They often have dedicated liaisons who can help push things through with EDD. Worked for me when I was stuck in limbo for weeks.
