EDD Payments Stopped Suddenly - Can't Get Through on Phone

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my payments. They've completely stopped and I'm not sure why. Has anyone else experienced this? The call keeps dropping when I try to get through to someone. Any advice on what to do next?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. My payments stopped last month and I can't get ahold of anyone. It's so frustrating!

Have you tried calling first thing in the morning? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Yeah, I've tried that. No luck 😭 It's like they don't want us to reach them

Keep trying! It took me like 50 calls but I finally got through. Don't give up!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

It did for me! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. Got through in about 2 hours.

$20 tho? That's kinda steep when were already not getting paid 🙄

I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally talk to someone and get my issue resolved.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's a message or task you need to complete that's holding up your payments.

This whole system is a joke. They can't even keep their phone lines working properly. How are we supposed to survive when they can't get their act together? 🤬

Preach! 👏 It's like they're living in the stone age or smthn

ikr? you'd think with all our tax dollars they could at least hire enough people to answer the phones 🙄

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Keep calling, even if it's frustrating. Try different times of day. 2. Check your online account daily for updates or tasks. 3. If you can, reach out to your local representative. They sometimes have connections to help. 4. Document everything - dates you called, any messages you receive, etc. 5. If you're really desperate, consider using a paid service like the one mentioned above. 6. Join Facebook groups or other forums for your state's unemployment. Sometimes people share insider tips. 7. Make sure all your paperwork is up to date and you've reported any changes in income or employment status. Hang in there, OP. I know it's tough, but keep pushing!

Thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll definitely try reaching out to my rep. Didn't even think of that.

LOL too real. I swear I could recite their hold music in my sleep at this point 😂

Hey OP, when did your payments stop? There was a glitch in the system last week that affected a bunch of people. Might be related.

It's been about two weeks now. Could be related to that glitch I guess?

Hmm, might be. Keep an eye on their Twitter for updates. They sometimes post about widespread issues there.
