EDD Claim Filed 12/4 - No Updates or Payment Yet. Help!
Hey everyone, I filed my unemployment claim on December 4th and still haven't received any updates. I got one letter showing my award amount, but that's it. No payment yet. Anyone else dealing with this? I'm getting worried and could really use some advice on what to do next.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your online account daily for updates 2. Keep calling, even if it's frustrating 3. Make sure all your docs are in order 4. If you can, reach out to your local representative 5. Be patient (I know, it sucks) I went through this last year and it took about 3 weeks to get my first payment. The system is overwhelmed, but they'll get to you eventually. Hang in there!
