Disability check 12+ days late - EDD payment delays?

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. My disability check is super late - it's been over 12 days now. I initially thought it was unemployment, but it turns out it's actually disability. Has anyone else experienced delays with their disability payments recently? Any advice on what I should do or who I should contact? This wait is really stressing me out.

I found a way to solve late disability payment issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbbotrr7UHI

Ugh, I feel ya. The system is so messed up rn. I've been waiting on my disability check for almost 3 weeks now. It's like they don't even care that we have bills to pay. 😤

3 weeks?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them? I heard they have a special line for delayed payments.

Yeah, I've been trying to get through for days. It's always busy or they hang up on me. I'm at my wits end here.

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way.

I had a similar issue last month. Turns out there was a glitch in their system affecting a bunch of claims. Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's more info there than what they tell you on the phone.

This is why I always tell people to have an emergency fund. You never know when the government's gonna screw up your payments. 🤷‍♂️

Not everyone has that luxury, my dude. Some of us are living paycheck to paycheck.

I get that, but even putting aside $5 a week can help. Gotta start somewhere.

Fair point. I'll try to do that once I actually get my check lol

Hey, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken.

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money, ya know?

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of when your payment was due, when you noticed it was late, and any communication you've had with the disability office. 2. Check your online account for any notices or updates. Sometimes they post info there before sending it out. 3. Try calling first thing in the morning, right when they open. The lines are usually less busy then. 4. If you can't get through on the phone, send a secure message through your online account. Be polite but firm, and ask for a specific timeline for resolution. 5. If all else fails, contact your local state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help with these issues. 6. While you're waiting, check if you're eligible for any emergency assistance programs in your area. Some non-profits offer short-term help for situations like this. Hang in there, OP. The system can be frustrating, but persistence usually pays off. Keep us updated!

I'm in the same boat, friend. It's so frustrating when you're counting on that money and it doesn't show up. Sending good vibes your way. We'll get through this! 💪

Thanks for the support! It helps to know I'm not alone in this. Hope your situation gets resolved soon too!

This is why we need to vote for better leadership. The whole system needs an overhaul. Until then, we're just gonna keep having these problems. 😤

Preach! 🙌 But let's not turn this into a political debate. OP needs practical advice rn.

Have you checked your mail carefully? Sometimes they send notices about delays or additional info they need. I almost missed one cuz it looked like junk mail.
