SDI check delayed 12+ days - any way to speed it up?

My disability check is being delayed for more than 12 days now. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm getting really frustrated with the whole process. It's like they don't care about people who rely on these payments. Any advice on how to speed things up or at least get some answers?

I found a way to solve disability check payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLGXeYgA6o0

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with delays for months now. It's like they're playing games with our lives. Have you tried calling them? Good luck getting through tho, its a nightmare

I've tried calling but keep getting stuck in this endless loop of automated messages. It's driving me crazy! 😤

Pro tip: call right when they open. Sometimes you can get through faster that way. Still a pain, but might save you some time.

Good idea! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 🤦‍♂️

I know it sounds crazy, but I was desperate. It actually worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

How long did you have to wait once you used the service?

It took about 45 minutes, but I didn't have to do anything. Just got a call when an agent was ready. Way better than being stuck on hold all day.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's info there about delays or issues with your claim. Might save you a phone call.

12 days? That's nothing. I've been waiting for 2 months! The whole system is a joke. They expect us to live on air while they take their sweet time. 🤬

Dude, that sucks. Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

Yeah, I've tried everything. Rep's office just gives me the runaround too. It's like nobody wants to take responsibility.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with disability check delays: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and interactions. 2. Be persistent. Call regularly, but be polite. The person on the other end isn't personally responsible for the delay. 3. Check your online account daily for updates. 4. If possible, have a backup plan for expenses. I know it's not easy, but even small savings can help. 5. Reach out to local non-profits or churches. Some offer temporary assistance for people waiting on benefits. 6. Contact your local representative or senator. They can sometimes expedite cases. 7. If you have a specific medical condition, check if there are any advocacy groups that can assist you. 8. Consider filing a formal complaint if the delay is excessive. Remember, you're not alone in this. The system is frustrating, but don't give up. Your persistence will pay off eventually.

lol welcome to the club. disability office is a joke. might as well start looking for under-the-table work cuz youll be waiting forever 🤡

That's terrible advice. Working under the table while claiming disability can get you in serious trouble.

chill bro, it was a joke. but fr, what else are we supposed to do when the system fails us?

Has anyone tried faxing their documents instead of mailing? I heard it can be faster sometimes.

Faxing? What year is it, 1995? 😂

Laugh all you want, but sometimes old school methods work better with these outdated government systems!
