EDD disability check delayed 12+ days, no updates on account. What to do?
My disability check is being delayed for more than 12 days now. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm getting worried because I rely on this money. I've tried checking my EDD account but I'm not seeing any updates or pending issues. Should I be concerned? What should I do next?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. My check has been delayed for almost 3 weeks now. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling EDD? Good luck getting through tho, their phone lines are always jammed 🙄

•Barely. Had to borrow money from family. This system is so broken 😤

•I feel ya. Been there, done that. It's like they don't even care about us.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20? That's steep. Is it really worth it?

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. totally worth the 20 bucks imo

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep checking your EDD account daily. Sometimes updates appear without notification. 2. Try calling early in the morning, right when they open. You might have better luck getting through. 3. If you have a disability case worker, try contacting them directly. 4. Check if there were any recent policy changes that might affect payment schedules. 5. Make sure all your paperwork is up to date. Sometimes a small missing detail can hold up the whole process. 6. If you're really struggling, reach out to local non-profits or your state representative. They might be able to help expedite things. Hang in there! The system is frustrating, but persistence usually pays off.

12 days? That's nothing. I've been waiting for 2 months now. The whole system is a joke. 🤡

Have you checked if there's been any changes to the payment schedule recently? Sometimes they adjust things without really announcing it properly.

•I haven't heard about any changes, but I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for the tip!

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out on social media. Sometimes their Twitter team is more responsive than the phone lines. Worth a shot! 🤷♂️
