am i the only 1 who thinks its ridiculous we gotta jump thru all these hoops just to update a phone #? the whole systems a joke smh
Quick question - does anyone know if updating the employer contact info affects the claim in any way? Like, does it delay payments or anything?
Anyone else notice that the SDI website is always "under maintenance" when you try to check your claim status online? 🙄 It's like they're allergic to technology or something.
Here's a crazy idea: what if we all showed up at the SDI office in person? Like a flash mob, but for claims 😂 Maybe then they'd get their act together!
Has anyone tried contacting their state representative? I've heard they can sometimes help speed things up.
guys. i just got off the phone with EDD after using that claimyr thing. IT ACTUALLY WORKED. im shook 😳
Same boat here. Filed in May, still nothing. EDD's website is useless, just shows "pending" for everything. Starting to feel like I'm shouting into the void.

Hot take: the whole system is designed to be confusing and difficult on purpose. They hope people will just give up. Don't let them win! 💪

•Preach! 🙌 It's all about saving money for the state, nevermind the people who actually need help.

Hey, former EDD employee here. The backlog is insane right now due to budget cuts and outdated systems. My advice: be polite but firm when you do get through. Ask for a supervisor if the first person can't help. And ALWAYS get a reference number for your call.

•Is there any way to expedite the process? I'm about to lose my apartment because of these delays.

•Unfortunately, there's no official 'expedite' process. But if you're facing eviction, make sure to mention that. It can sometimes bump you up the priority list. Also, look into emergency rental assistance programs in your area.
