Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD, including dates and times. 2. Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, try their social media. Sometimes they respond on Twitter or Facebook. 4. As someone else mentioned, contacting your local rep can help. 5. If all else fails, consider filing a complaint with the state labor board. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!
Wow, thanks for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try these steps.
have u tried faxing them? I no it sounds old school but I got a response within a week after I faxed my info
Anyone else think its ridiculous that we have to jump through so many hoops just to get basic help? The system is broken af 😤
Preach! 🙌 It's like they're stuck in the stone age or something.
Hey OP, when you do get through, make sure to ask if theres any pending stuff on the account. Sometimes they dont tell u unless you ask specifically. Also, switching to checks might take a few weeks to process, so plan accordingly!

Has anyone tried contacting their state representative? I've heard that can sometimes speed things up when EDD is being particularly useless.

•I did this! It actually helped. Took about a week, but my rep's office got EDD to resolve my issue. Def worth a shot if you're getting nowhere with EDD directly.

•That's a great idea, I hadn't even thought of that. I'll give it a try if I can't get anywhere with EDD. Thanks!
