Have you checked if there's an SDI office near you? Sometimes you can get better help in person.
anyone else feel like they need a law degree to understand all these unemployment rules? 🤯 i swear it changes every other week
Lol for real. I'm just over here playing unemployment roulette every time I certify 🎰
Hey OP, don't forget to check your spam folder for emails from EDD. Sometimes important stuff ends up there. Also, make sure your address is up to date in their system if you've moved recently.
Has anyone else noticed that the EDD website is always "undergoing maintenance" when you actually need to use it? It's like they're allergic to helping us.
Guys, I heard a rumor that EDD is updating their system soon. Supposedly it'll make payments faster and more reliable. Anyone know if there's any truth to this?
Fair enough lol. Just thought I'd share what I heard. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
The disability system is such a joke. They make it so hard for people who actually need help. It's like they want us to fail 🤡
Preach! 🙌 The whole system needs an overhaul
Hey OP, how long have you been on disability? Just curious cuz I'm about to apply and I'm nervous about the whole process.

I'm in the same boat, OP. It's so frustrating. Hang in there!

Have you considered applying for emergency cash aid while you wait for your disability to come through? Might help tide you over.

•I didn't even know that was an option. Where would I apply for that?

•Check with your county's social services office. They usually handle those kinds of programs.
