What time does my unemployment get deposited Washington ESD?

Filed my weekly claim Sunday night and it's approved but still haven't seen the money hit my account. Usually comes Tuesday but it's already Wednesday afternoon. Anyone know what time Washington ESD actually deposits the funds? My bank says they don't hold unemployment deposits so I'm confused why it's taking so long this week.

Washington ESD typically processes deposits between 2-4 AM on Tuesdays, but it can vary depending on your bank. Some banks release the funds immediately while others might hold them until business hours. Have you checked if there are any holidays or processing delays this week?

No holidays that I know of. My bank usually releases funds right away for direct deposits. This is weird.

Same thing happened to me last month - turned out there was some kind of verification hold I didn't know about.

ugh this is so frustrating!! i've been waiting since sunday and my rent is due tomorrow. why can't they just tell us exactly when it'll hit our accounts?? the washington esd website is useless

0 coins

I totally understand the frustration. If you need to speak with someone about deposit timing or check if there's an issue with your claim, you might want to try Claimyr - it's a service that helps you actually get through to Washington ESD agents. They have a demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ that shows how it works.

never heard of that before but might be worth trying if i can't get through the regular way

Check your SecureAccess Washington account to see if there are any pending issues or notifications. Sometimes deposits get delayed if there's a verification requirement or if your weekly claim is being reviewed. The system should show you if there's a hold on your account.

0 coins

Good idea - I'll check that right now. Didn't think to look there since my claim showed approved.

0 coins

Yeah definitely check SAW first before panicking. I had a deposit delayed once because they needed me to update my address verification.

For what it's worth, I've noticed Washington ESD deposits can come anywhere from Monday night to Wednesday morning depending on various factors. The 'typical' Tuesday timing isn't always accurate.

0 coins

That's actually helpful to know. I was getting worried something was wrong with my claim.

0 coins

Same here - mine usually comes Tuesday but sometimes it's Wednesday and once it was even Thursday

0 coins

WASHINGTON ESD IS THE WORST. They can't even get deposit timing right. I've been dealing with this for months and they act like it's normal for payments to be inconsistent.

0 coins

The inconsistency is definitely frustrating. The deposit timing depends on several factors including bank processing times and whether there are any flags on your account.

0 coins

whatever. just tired of not knowing when i'll get my money

0 coins

Usually comes around 3 AM Tuesday for me with Chase bank. What bank do you use? That might make a difference.

0 coins

I use Wells Fargo. They usually release direct deposits right away so I don't think it's the bank.

0 coins

Wells Fargo should be fine. Might be something on Washington ESD's end then.

This happened to me a few weeks ago and I spent hours trying to call Washington ESD with no luck. Finally used that Claimyr service someone mentioned and got through to an agent who explained there was a routine review on my account that delayed the deposit by a day. Worth the peace of mind.

How does Claimyr work exactly? Is it expensive?

0 coins

Check out claimyr.com - they basically handle the calling and waiting for you. I found it really helpful when I couldn't get through myself.

0 coins

Update: Just checked my account and the deposit hit at 4:17 AM today (Wednesday). So it was just a day late for whatever reason.

0 coins

That's good to hear! I'll keep checking my account throughout the day.

0 coins

Glad it worked out. Sometimes there are just minor processing delays that don't indicate any real problems.

0 coins

i had the same issue last week. turned out my bank had some kind of fraud hold because the deposit amount was different than usual (they increased my weekly benefit amount). maybe check with your bank too?

0 coins

Interesting - my amount was the same as usual but I'll call them just in case.

0 coins

Good point about fraud holds. Banks can be overly cautious with government payments sometimes.

0 coins

For future reference, Washington ESD typically processes payments on Monday nights and they're released Tuesday mornings, but holidays and system maintenance can push it to Wednesday. Also, if you filed your weekly claim after the Sunday deadline, it might be delayed.

0 coins

I filed Sunday night before midnight so that shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for the info though.

0 coins

This is accurate. The Monday night processing is standard but various factors can cause delays.

0 coins

omg same thing happening to me right now! usually get it tuesday morning and it's already wednesday afternoon. starting to worry something's wrong with my claim

0 coins

At least I'm not alone! Hopefully we both get our deposits soon.

0 coins

Check your SecureAccess Washington account to see if there are any issues flagged on your claim.

0 coins

Had this happen before when Washington ESD was updating their payment system. Took an extra day but everything was fine. Don't panic yet!

0 coins

That's reassuring. I was starting to worry I did something wrong on my weekly claim.

0 coins

Nah, if your claim shows approved you should be good. Just a processing delay.

0 coins

Mine comes at different times depending on the week. Sometimes Tuesday at 2 AM, sometimes Wednesday at 6 AM. Washington ESD isn't super consistent with timing unfortunately.

0 coins

Good to know it's not just me experiencing inconsistent timing.

0 coins

Exactly what I was saying - they can't even get basic deposit timing right

0 coins

If you're still worried, you could try using Claimyr to speak with a Washington ESD agent directly. I used it last month when I had a similar deposit delay and the agent was able to check my account and confirm everything was processing normally.

0 coins

Seems like a few people have mentioned Claimyr. I might give it a try if my deposit doesn't come by tomorrow.

0 coins

Yeah it's really helpful for getting actual answers instead of just guessing what's going on.

0 coins

Check if you have any text messages or emails from Washington ESD. Sometimes they send notifications about deposit delays or issues that need attention.

0 coins

Good idea - I'll check my spam folder too in case something got filtered.

0 coins

Yes, Washington ESD does send notifications for various issues including payment delays.

0 coins

UPDATE: My deposit just hit at 5:23 PM today! So it was about a day and a half late but it came through. Hope yours comes soon too!

0 coins

That's great news! I'll keep checking my account. Thanks for the update.

0 coins

Still waiting on mine but this gives me hope it's just delayed

0 coins

Deposits can be delayed for various reasons - bank processing, Washington ESD system maintenance, verification reviews, or even high volume periods. Usually nothing to worry about if your claim shows approved.

0 coins

Makes sense. I was probably overthinking it. Thanks for the reassurance.

0 coins

Exactly right. Approved claims almost always get processed, just sometimes with slight delays.

0 coins

Final update: My deposit came through at 2:41 AM Thursday morning! So it was two days late but everything worked out. Thanks everyone for the help and advice!

0 coins

Glad it worked out! These delays happen sometimes but it's always concerning when you're depending on the funds.

0 coins

yay! mine came through too finally. what a relief

0 coins

Mine too! Guess it was just a processing delay affecting multiple people
