Weekly claim stuck on 'processing IVR' - deposit delayed beyond normal time?
I'm getting kinda worried here. Filed my weekly UI claim yesterday around 4pm through the phone system and it's just sitting there with 'processing IVR' status. Every other week since I started claiming in February, the money hits my account by 9am the next day. It's now afternoon and nothing's happening. My bills are due tomorrow and I was counting on this deposit. Anyone else experiencing delays with ESD processing weekly claims right now? Should I be concerned or is this happening to others too?

Same thing!!! My claim from Sunday STILL says processing. Normally in my account Tuesday morning. Something must be going on with their system 😤

•That's somewhat reassuring at least. Wonder if they're having technical issues or something.

This is happening to many claimants right now. ESD is experiencing a processing delay with their payment system. When you see 'processing IVR' it means your claim was received through the phone system but hasn't been fully processed yet. This doesn't mean there's an issue with your claim specifically - it's a system-wide slowdown. If your claim status hasn't changed by tomorrow morning, you should try to contact ESD directly. They can verify if there's something specific holding up your claim or if it's just caught in the general processing delay. Did you do anything differently this week when filing? Any job contacts or earnings to report that weren't present in previous weeks?

•Nothing different at all - same job search activities (3 as required), no earnings to report. Thanks for explaining what the IVR status actually means. I'll give it until tomorrow morning then.

I'm dealing with the EXACT same issue! Filed Sunday night and still stuck in processing. Usually hits my account Tuesday like clockwork. Called ESD 27 TIMES this morning and just got busy signals or disconnected. This is so frustrating when you have bills due and they give ZERO information about system delays on their website. Why can't they at least post an alert if they know there's an issue????

•They never tell us anything. I swear ESD is the most disorganized government agency ever. Last year they randomly held my payment for THREE WEEKS with no explanation and when I finally got through they said it was a "random verification" but never sent me any notice about it.

•Exactly! How hard is it to post a banner on their website saying "We're experiencing payment delays" so people aren't panicking? My landlord doesn't care about ESD excuses when rent is due.

After trying for hours to get through to ESD about a similar issue last month, I discovered a service called Claimyr that got me connected to an actual ESD agent in under 10 minutes. Saved me from the endless busy signals and disconnects. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 The agent told me these processing delays happen about once a quarter when they do system updates. Basically, your claim is fine but stuck in a queue. They can usually push it through manually if you can actually reach someone at ESD.

•Thanks for the tip! If it's not resolved by tomorrow I might try that. Did the agent say how long these quarterly delays usually last?

•The agent said typically 24-48 hours, but sometimes up to 72 hours for the whole backlog to clear. But if you need the money urgently for bills, getting someone to manually process it is the way to go. That's why I ended up using Claimyr - couldn't afford to wait.

This is a known issue that happens periodically with ESD's payment processing system. Here's what you need to know: 1. The "processing IVR" status means your claim was received through the phone system and is queued for processing. 2. ESD typically processes claims in batches, and occasionally their system experiences delays, especially after weekends with high claim volumes. 3. These system delays DO NOT affect your eligibility or payment amount - you'll still receive the full amount you're entitled to. 4. Most processing delays resolve within 48-72 hours without any action needed on your part. 5. If your claim hasn't processed by the third business day after filing, then you should contact ESD directly as there might be an additional issue. For your situation, since you filed yesterday afternoon, I'd recommend waiting until tomorrow afternoon before becoming too concerned. The system is likely just experiencing a backlog.

•This is really helpful information, thank you. I feel better knowing it's just a system thing and not something wrong with my specific claim. I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon before I try calling them.

UPDATE: Mine just changed from processing to paid!!! Check your account again - maybe they're finally pushing payments through.

•Mine too! Finally! Still annoying they can't communicate these delays better but at least it's resolved.
