ESD weekly payment delayed after filing on Sunday - anyone else not paid today?

Really frustrated right now. I filed my weekly claim on Sunday right after that weird system glitch they had (took me 3 tries to log in). The claim showed as 'processed' in my eServices account yesterday, but my payment hasn't hit my direct deposit today like it normally does. Anyone else experiencing delays this week? I've got rent due Friday and I'm starting to panic a little. Called ESD twice today but only got the automated message saying 'high call volume' before getting disconnected. Is this happening to anyone else who filed on Sunday?

Same issue here. Filed Sunday around noon, shows processed in the system but no deposit today. Usually hits my account by 9am on Tuesdays. I checked my claim status and there's no alerts or issues showing up. Probably just delayed from whatever technical problems they were having.

Thanks for confirming I'm not alone! Did yours say 'paid' or just 'processed'? Mine says processed but doesn't actually show a payment date when I check payment history.

I literally just checked mine and it finally went through! Check your account again - might be coming through in batches?

This happens occasionally when there's a system issue. When their software has problems, it can delay the payment processing by 1-2 business days. As long as your claim status shows as processed without any adjudication flags, the payment should come through - just delayed. I'd recommend checking again tomorrow morning. If it doesn't show up by Thursday, that's when you should start trying to contact them more aggressively. Also, make sure your direct deposit information hasn't changed. Sometimes banks update routing numbers and that can cause delays too.

That's reassuring, thank you. My bank details haven't changed and there aren't any flags I can see. I'll try to be patient until Thursday, but it's hard when you're counting on that money for bills!

When I had this problem last month, I used Claimyr to get through to an actual ESD agent instead of fighting with the phone system all day. The site is claimyr.com and they have a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 that shows how it works. Basically they wait on hold for you then call you when they get an agent. The ESD rep told me sometimes after system issues, payments need manual verification which causes 1-3 day delays. Mine came through the next day after they fixed something on their end.

Yes, it worked for me. The agent explained that after system issues they sometimes have to process claims in batches instead of all at once, which is why some people get paid on time and others don't.

Everyone PLEASE stop panicin! This happens every few months. I've been on UI since April and have seen this 3x already. The ESD system does batch processing after technical issues. Some payments go through normal, others get delayed 24-48 hrs. They DO NOT tell us this on their website because they don't want everyone calling at once. THEY SHOULD ABSOLUTELY DO BETTER COMMUNICATION but hey... government systems, right? 🙄

Thanks for this. Just checked again and now mine shows a payment date for tomorrow! Seems like they're processing them in batches like you said.

wait is this just for direct deposit or is it affecting the debit cards too?? i have mone go to the debit card and havent checked yet. should i be worried??

It can affect both payment methods. The processing delay happens before the payment is sent to either direct deposit or the debit card. You can check your debit card balance or call the number on the back to see if a deposit is pending.

I heard from someone at WorkSource that they're doing system maintenance this week too so that might be causing more delays. When I was job searching last year sometimes payments would be late after their maintenance windows.

That's actually good to know - they never announce these things properly. Wish they'd just send a text alert saying "Heads up, payments might be delayed this week due to maintenance."

UPDATE: Just got an email saying my payment will be deposited tomorrow. Looks like it was just delayed by a day because of their system issues on Sunday. Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance!

Just got the same email! Crisis averted. Glad it was just a small delay.
