Weekly claim filed Sunday morning but no deposit yet - ESD payment delay?
I'm really starting to worry. I called in my weekly claim Sunday morning at 8am (I always do it first thing when the system opens) but here we are days later with no deposit. Usually the money hits my account by Tuesday afternoon at the latest. My rent is due Friday and I'm cutting it way too close this month to not have this money. Has anybody else experienced a delay with their payments this week? Is there some kind of system issue going on at ESD? I checked my eServices account and it shows my claim as "processed" but nothing about any holds or issues. Getting through to an actual person on the phone seems impossible.

Same here! I filed mine Sunday too and still nothing. This is the first time in 7 weeks I've had this problem. When I check online it just says processed but my bank account is still empty. I'm freaking out because I have car insurance due tomorrow!!

•Glad it's not just me (though sorry you're dealing with it too). Have you tried calling them? I tried twice today and couldn't get through.

This is actually happening to a lot of people this week. There's an ESD processing delay affecting direct deposits. I spoke with an agent this morning who confirmed they're aware of the issue and working to resolve it. Most payments should process by tomorrow, but some might take until Friday. If your claim status shows as "processed" in eServices, that's a good sign - the money is approved and just waiting for the banking transfer to complete. The agent told me it's affecting about 30% of claimants this week due to a system update they implemented over the weekend.

•Thank you for this info! How did you manage to get through to an agent? I've been trying for hours with no luck.

I had this exact problem last month. Turned out there was a discrepancy with one of my job search activities even though the system accepted it when I entered it. Check if there's any messages in your eServices inbox - sometimes they don't send email notifications when they put messages there. You might be in adjudication without realizing it.

•Just checked my inbox and there's nothing there. And my claim status still says processed, not in adjudication. I'm pretty meticulous about my job search activities so I don't think that's the issue, but thanks for the suggestion.

I used Claimyr today to get through to ESD after being in the same situation (filed Sunday, no payment). The agent confirmed there's a payment processing delay affecting many accounts this week. If you need to talk to someone at ESD quickly, I'd recommend trying Claimyr (claimyr.com). They get you through the phone maze and put you in line for a callback without having to redial constantly. They have a video demo that shows how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. Totally worth it for peace of mind knowing what's actually happening with your money.

This happened to me twice in the past three months. The first time it was just a random delay and the payment showed up a day late. The second time it was because I had accidentally put the wrong employer contact information for one of my job search activities, which triggered a review. One thing you should know: if your claim status says "processed" rather than "pending" or "adjudication," that's usually a good sign that the money has been approved and is just working its way through the banking system. ESD can't control how long ACH transfers take once they've sent the payment. If you don't receive it by Friday, that's when I'd start to worry and take more aggressive steps to contact them. But based on what you've described, it sounds like just a processing delay.

•Thanks for the reassurance. I didn't realize the "processed" status was actually a good sign. I'll try to be patient until Friday, though it's stressful with bills coming due!

THE ESD SYSTEM IS BROKEN!!!!! This is like the 5th time this year they've had "processing delays" and meanwhile WE'RE the ones who have to explain to our landlords why rent is late!!! Did you know they FINE landlords for late mortgage payments but we're just supposed to wait patiently while ESD gets their act together?? I'm so SICK of this system that punishes the unemployed while the fat cats at ESD collect their guaranteed paychecks ON TIME every week!!!!

•While I understand your frustration, the delay is actually due to a system update that will make payments more secure and faster in the future. These technical updates are necessary but unfortunately can cause temporary disruptions. The agents at ESD are working overtime to resolve the issues as quickly as possible.

UPDATE: My payment just hit my account this morning! For anyone else waiting, looks like they're starting to process them now. It was about 2.5 days later than normal but at least it came through before rent was due. Thanks everyone for your help and commiseration!

•Glad to hear it worked out! This is pretty typical with these processing delays - they tend to resolve within 2-3 days.
