Weekly claim still 'processing' since Sunday - ESD says no issues on my account?
Just called ESD this morning after waiting on hold for 2 hours. The agent checked my account and said there are 'no issues' on my end, but my weekly claim from Sunday is still showing as 'processing' in the system. This has never happened before - my payments usually go through by Tuesday at the latest. I really need this money for rent that's due next week. Is anyone else still stuck in processing from Sunday's claim? Or is it just me? Getting nervous since the agent couldn't tell me why it's delayed or when it might be resolved.

This is happening to a lot of people right now. ESD is experiencing delays with their payment processing system. Their website doesn't show it, but an agent told me yesterday they're dealing with a backlog after updating their payment verification protocol. Most claims from Sunday should process by tomorrow, but some might take until early next week. If your claim doesn't go through by next Tuesday, then you should call back. The "no issues" response just means your claim itself doesn't have any problems requiring adjudication.

This seems to be happening every few months now. ESD's antiquated systems can't handle their workload, especially when they do updates. I've been through the unemployment system THREE times in the past four years, and each time there's some new problem. The fact that the agents themselves often don't know about system-wide issues is the most infuriating part. One thing I've learned: ALWAYS file your weekly claim as early as possible on Sunday. Claims filed later in the day seem to get stuck more often when they have processing delays.

Are you on regular UI or is this a PUA claim? Because the processing times can be different. My partner is on regular UI and her payment just went through this morning, but mine is still processing (I'm on extended benefits after exhausting regular UI).
