ESD eServices login problem after receiving notification email - can't access my account

So annoyed right now! I got an email from ESD saying I have a new letter in my account about my claim, but when I try to log into eServices it keeps giving me an error. I already reset my password thinking that would fix it, but still nothing. The page just refreshes and takes me back to the login screen without any error message. I've tried different browsers (Chrome and Edge) and even tried on my phone. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm worried the letter might be important and I need to respond by a deadline. Any ideas what's going on or how to fix this??

I had the exact same issue last month! Super frustrating when you know something important is waiting but can't get in. For me, it turned out my SAW (SecureAccess Washington) account was locked because of too many password attempts (even though I didn't try that many times). Try going directly to the SAW website first instead of the ESD login, and check if your account is locked there. There should be an account recovery option that's different from just resetting your password.

Thanks! I just tried the SAW website directly and you're right - it says my account is temporarily locked. But when I try the account recovery option it asks for information I can't remember setting up. Did you have to call someone to get it unlocked?

this happens ALL THE TIME with esd... their system is garbage tbh. sometimes it's maintenance but they never warn you. try again tomorrow morning, usually works better then

I hope it's just maintenance! But it's been like this since yesterday afternoon. Definitely trying again in the morning though.

This is a common issue that can happen for several reasons: 1. Your SAW account might be locked (as someone mentioned) 2. There could be system maintenance happening (ESD often does this overnight) 3. Browser cache/cookies might be causing conflicts 4. Sometimes there's a sync issue between SAW and ESD systems Try these fixes in order: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies completely 2. Try using an incognito/private browser window 3. Wait 24 hours (sometimes accounts auto-unlock) 4. If you're still locked out after trying the account recovery, you'll need to contact ESD directly The good news is that even if there's a time-sensitive document, they usually give you 10 business days to respond from when it was sent, not from when you view it. So you should still have time once you get access.

Thank you for such a detailed response! I tried incognito mode and it still didn't work, but I'll clear my cache next. Good to know about the 10-day response window - that gives me some relief. I've been so stressed thinking I might miss something important.

Have you checked if your browser is blocking cookies or pop-ups from the ESD website? That happened to me once and it kept silently failing without any error messages. Also, make sure your browser is updated to the latest version. I know it sounds basic but sometimes it's the simple things!

I didn't think about cookies being blocked! I'll check my settings. And yes, I'm pretty sure my browsers are updated but I'll double check. Thanks for the suggestions!

When I got locked out of my account last year I spent DAYS trying to get through to ESD on the phone but kept getting disconnected. Someone on another thread recommended Claimyr (claimyr.com) and it actually worked to get me through to a real agent who unlocked my account on the spot. They have a video showing how it works here: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. Saved me a ton of frustration since I had an adjudication interview I needed to reschedule.

does that actually work? i've heard of it but wasn't sure if it was legit or not

Yeah it definitely worked for me. I was skeptical too but I was desperate after trying for 3 days to get through. The agent I spoke to was able to see that my account had some kind of security flag on it that was preventing login.

I HAD THIS EXACT PROBLEM!! So infuriating! Turned out the "new letter" email was actually sent in error for me - I called after trying for hours (literally 46 redials) and the rep told me there was actually no new letter in my account. The system had sent notification emails by mistake to a bunch of people. Maybe check if that's what happened?

Oh wow, seriously? That would be both annoying and a relief. How did you finally get through to someone? I've tried calling a few times but just get the message about high call volume.

I just kept redialing over and over while I was watching TV. If you call right when they open at 8am you might have better luck. But honestly it was torture.

Update: I cleared my cache, waited overnight, and tried the account recovery through SAW again this morning. I was able to set up new security questions and finally got in! Turns out I DID have an important letter - they needed additional information about my job separation. Thanks everyone for your help!

Great! Glad you got it resolved. Make sure you respond to that request for information as soon as possible - those are time-sensitive and can affect your claim eligibility. If they're asking about job separation details, be very clear and detailed in your response.

Already submitted the information! It was asking about why I left my last job. The deadline was actually tomorrow so I'm really glad I got in today. Thanks again for all the suggestions.

lucky you got in! bookmark the direct SAW login page for next time lol

This is such a helpful thread! I'm dealing with the same login issues right now and it's so reassuring to see that others have figured it out. I'm going to try the SAW account recovery route first since that seems to have worked for a few people here. Quick question though - when you go through the account recovery process, does it immediately unlock your account or do you have to wait? I'm hoping to get this sorted today if possible since I'm also worried about missing something time-sensitive.

From what I've seen in this thread, it seems like the account recovery process can work pretty quickly once you get through it! @Jade Lopez mentioned she was able to set up new security questions and get in the same morning after trying overnight. The tricky part seems to be if you can t'remember the info they ask for during recovery - that s'where some people had to call. I d'definitely try the SAW recovery first since multiple people here had success with that route. Good luck getting it sorted today!

I'm having the exact same issue! Got the email notification yesterday and have been trying to log in ever since with no luck. Reading through all these responses is really helpful - I had no idea about the SAW account potentially being locked separately from just resetting the ESD password. I'm definitely going to try going directly to the SecureAccess Washington site first like @Lilah Brooks suggested. It's so frustrating when you know there's something waiting for you but the system won't let you in! Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and solutions.
