EDD UI Online login loop - submit access code but next page won't load
I'm at my wits end trying to get into my EDD account! I request an access code, it arrives on my phone, I enter it correctly but then the stupid page just spins and never goes to my account dashboard. I've tried 15+ times over the past 3 days. Using Chrome browser on my laptop. Cleared cache, tried incognito, even borrowed my sister's computer - SAME ISSUE! My certification is due Sunday and I can't access anything. Has anyone else dealt with this login problem recently? Need to figure this out ASAP or I'll miss my certification window and risk losing benefits for this period.

This sounds like the login glitch that's been happening since the EDD did those system updates last week. The access code verification page is timing out before it can authenticate properly. Try these steps: 1) Use Microsoft Edge or Firefox instead of Chrome 2) Turn off any VPN if you're using one 3) Try during off-peak hours (very early morning like 5-6am or late night after 11pm) when server load is lower. The system struggles during high-traffic periods, especially evenings when everyone's trying to certify.

•Thanks! I'll try Firefox tonight and set an alarm for 5am tomorrow if that doesn't work. Do you think this will be fixed before Sunday certification deadline? I've never missed filing on time before and I'm worried about what happens if I can't get in.

•I'll definitely try on my phone too! I didn't even think about that. Did you just go to the regular UI Online site through your phone browser or did you use the EDD mobile app?

The EDD website is COMPLETE GARBAGE!!! I've been dealing with these exact login problems for WEEKS and it's ALWAYS when something important is due. I swear they do this on purpose so people miss deadlines and they can deny benefits. I had to call 57 TIMES last month to get someone to manually push through my certification because of the same exact login issue. The whole system needs to be scrapped and rebuilt from scratch.

•Not sure they do it on purpose but I agree the website is terrible. Feels like it was built in 2005 and never properly updated.

I work in IT and this is definitely a server-side issue with the EDD authentication system. They've been having timeout problems during the multi-factor authentication process. One thing not mentioned yet - check if your browser is auto-filling the access code field. Sometimes this causes a conflict with how the form processes the submission. Try manually typing the code instead of using copy/paste or autofill. Also, if nothing else works, you can still certify by phone using TeleCert at 1-866-333-4606, but it's much more time-consuming than the online system.

•Thank you for the detailed explanation and TeleCert backup option. I've been copy/pasting the code, so I'll definitely try typing it manually to see if that helps. Really appreciate the insider IT perspective!

When I had this exact problem last month, I finally got through to an EDD representative who helped reset something on their end. I used Claimyr.com to get past the busy phone lines - it basically keeps dialing for you until it gets through. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km. The rep told me there was some kind of account flag that needed to be cleared before I could log in again. Took about 10 minutes once I actually got someone on the phone.

•Thank you! I'll check out that service if the browser suggestions don't work. Did they say what caused the account flag or how to prevent it from happening again?

•The rep said sometimes it happens when you make too many failed login attempts in a short period (which is frustrating since it's THEIR system failing). She removed the temporary security block and I was able to log in immediately after. She recommended waiting at least 30 minutes between login attempts if it fails.

my cousin works for edd (not tech dept) and she said they know about this problem but the fix is delayed because of some contract issue with the it vendor. she said if you absolutely cannot get in by sunday, you can request a retroactive certification once you do get access. you'll need to contact a rep and explain the technical difficulties. they can see login attempt records in their system so they'll know you tried to get in.

•That's really good to know about the retroactive certification option - that helps ease my anxiety a bit. It's frustrating they know about the problem but haven't fixed it yet. Thanks for the insider info!

just wondering have you tried a different browser completely? like maybe Opera or something most people don't use? sometimes the popular browsers get weird conflicts

•I haven't tried any unusual browsers, that's a good suggestion. I think I might have Opera somewhere on my laptop, I'll dig it up and give that a shot tonight.

Update us if you get in! I'm curious which solution works. The EDD login issues seem to be happening to different people for different reasons, so documenting what works helps everyone.

•IT WORKED! Firefox + manually typing the code + doing it at 5:45am this morning = success! Thanks everyone for your help. I was able to complete my certification with plenty of time to spare before the Sunday deadline. For anyone reading this with the same problem, try different browsers and early morning hours when server traffic is low.

•That's awesome news! Thanks for following up with what worked - this will definitely help other people facing the same issue. The early morning timing seems to be key based on what multiple people mentioned. Really glad you got your certification done on time!

•So glad you figured it out! I've been following this thread because I've had similar login issues with other government sites. The combination of Firefox + early morning timing seems to be the magic formula for dealing with overloaded servers. Bookmarking this solution for future reference - thanks for sharing what actually worked!

•Great to hear you got in @Amara Eze! This thread is going to be super helpful for anyone else dealing with EDD login issues. The Firefox + early morning combo seems to be the winning strategy. I've been having intermittent problems too but haven't tried the early morning approach yet - definitely going to remember that trick for next time!

Wow, this thread is incredibly helpful! I just joined this community because I've been having the exact same login issues with EDD for the past week. Reading through all these solutions gives me hope - I was starting to panic about missing my certification deadline too. I'm going to try the Firefox + early morning approach that worked for @Amara Eze, and if that doesn't work I'll use the TeleCert backup number that @Sofia Martinez mentioned. It's frustrating that we have to jump through all these hoops just to access our own accounts, but at least there are workarounds. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and solutions!

•Welcome to the community @Ravi Kapoor! I'm new here too but this thread has been a lifesaver. I was in the exact same boat as you and @Amara Eze just a few days ago - completely panicked about the login issues. The Firefox + early morning combo really does seem to be the most reliable solution based on everyone s'feedback. Also want to second the TeleCert option as a solid backup plan - it s'good to know there are multiple ways to get your certification done even when the website is acting up. Hope one of these methods works for you!

•Welcome @Ravi Kapoor! This community has been such a lifesaver for EDD issues. I'm relatively new here too but have learned so much from experienced members. One additional tip I'd add - if you do end up calling EDD, try to have your certification ready to complete over the phone in case the online system is still acting up. That way you won't waste time if you get through to a rep. The Claimyr service that @Dmitry Volkov mentioned also seems worth trying if the Firefox solution doesn t'work. Good luck with your certification!

•Welcome @Ravi Kapoor! I'm also pretty new to this community but this thread has been incredibly helpful. Just wanted to add that if you're trying the early morning approach, I've found that around 5-6am Pacific time seems to be the sweet spot when the EDD servers are least congested. Also, make sure to have your access code ready to type manually rather than copy/paste - that seems to make a difference based on what @Sofia Martinez mentioned about form processing conflicts. The fact that @Amara Eze got it working with this combination gives me confidence it s a'solid strategy. Hope you get your certification done without any more stress!
