ESD IVR Processing Status - Stuck Since Sunday Morning Call

Has anyone else been in this weird 'processing' limbo with the IVR system? I filed my weekly claim through the phone system early Sunday morning (around 5:30am when I figured the lines wouldn't be busy). The automated system accepted all my info, but I'm still showing as 'processing' in my eServices account three days later. Usually my claims process within hours. My bank account is getting dangerously low, and I've got rent due next week. Is the system delayed for everyone right now or should I be worried something's wrong with my claim? I haven't received any alerts or messages requiring additional information.

did u enter different answers than usual? sometimes even small changes trigger adjucation.

Nope, same answers as always. Looked for work, available for work, no earnings, no refusals, etc. Nothing changed on my end!

The IVR system has been experiencing delays this week due to some technical updates they're making. I filed on Sunday evening and mine was also stuck in processing until late last night when it finally switched to paid. Give it another day before panicking - if it's still processing by Thursday morning, then I'd recommend trying to contact ESD directly for clarification. The system is likely just backlogged.

Thank you! That's somewhat reassuring. I'll try to be patient for another day, but the timing with rent coming due is really stressful.

Same thing is happening to me!!! Filed Sunday around noon and still says processing. This is so frustrating when bills are due and they don't even tell us what's going on. Why can't they just post a notice if the system is having problems instead of leaving us all hanging?!?

ESD is honestly THE WORST when it comes to communication. They leave us in the dark constantly. I had a similar issue back in February where my claim was stuck for almost a week with no explanation. Turned out they were doing a "system upgrade" but couldn't be bothered to TELL ANYONE about it. Meanwhile people are freaking out about bills and rent.

Just checked my account after seeing this - I filed Sunday afternoon and mine shows paid now, but it didn't process until late last night. Definitely longer than usual. I think they're having system issues but of course they never announce these things. Have you tried calling the claims center? Good luck with that though... I spent 3 hours on hold last month before getting disconnected.

I tried calling this morning but couldn't get through - just kept getting the "high call volume" message and then disconnected. So frustrating! But at least hearing yours eventually processed gives me a little hope.

If u need to reach ESD quickly, try Claimyr. I was super skeptical but after getting hung up on 4 times trying to call about my adjudication issue, I gave it a shot. They got me a callback from ESD within an hour. Worth checking out their website at claimyr.com - they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. Saved me from missing a rent payment last month when my claim got stuck in processing for no apparent reason.

Thanks for the suggestion! If it's not fixed by tomorrow I might have to try this. Did they explain why your claim was stuck when you finally got through?

Yeah, turned out there was a flag on my account because I'd worked a single day during one of my claim weeks (reported it correctly and everything). The ESD rep removed the flag in like 2 minutes once I actually got to talk to someone. Such a simple fix that would've taken forever without getting through.

i always file online never use phone system anymore cuz this happened to me twice last year. took foreverrrr both times. online claims seem to process way faster in my experience.

^^^^^ this is 100% correct. phone system is ancient technology compared to the website. i only use eservices now.

Good to know! My internet was down Sunday morning so I used the phone, but I'll definitely stick to online filing in the future if that's more reliable.

Quick update: I just saw on the ESD Twitter account that they're experiencing processing delays this week due to "backend system maintenance." They're saying most claims should process within 72 hours (which is ridiculous, but at least it's an explanation). Might want to check your status again tomorrow morning.

THANK YOU for this info! I don't use Twitter so would've never seen that. 72 hours is terrible but at least it's not just my claim with a problem. I'll check again tomorrow and update here if it changes.

UPDATE: My claim just switched to paid status! Looks like it was just the system delay everyone mentioned. Thanks for all the help and suggestions - this community is amazing for keeping me sane during the unemployment process.

Great news! Glad it worked out. ESD really needs to improve their communication about these delays, but I'm happy you'll be getting your payment soon.
