After contacting Inslee's office, ESD called back quickly - how soon will funds arrive after adjudication?

I've been going back and forth with ESD for almost 2 months now with no progress on my claim. Yesterday I finally called Governor Inslee's office out of desperation (something I saw recommended here). To my shock, ESD called me back within hours! Today an adjudicator actually contacted me and I answered all their questions about my employment separation. If they approve my claim now, does anyone know approximately how long before I'll see the funds? I have 4 weeks in pending status and my landlord is really starting to pressure me about rent.

I had to contact the Governor's office too! ESD called me back within 24 hours after I couldn't get through for WEEKS. After my adjudication interview was completed, it took 3 business days for the funds to hit my account. Make sure you check eServices to see if your claim status changes from

Thank you so much! That's really encouraging to hear. I've been checking eServices obsessively. Did you have to call them again after the adjudication interview or did everything just process automatically?

Definitely try the governor's office! I had to do the same thing last month. Unfortunately it's basically the only way to get ESD to actually do their job these days. The system is completely broken and they know they can just ignore people until they give up.

If your adjudicator told you that your claim was approved during your phone call, funds are typically disbursed within 2-3 business days. However, if they didn't explicitly say it was approved and just said they'd review the information, it might take up to 5-7 business days while they complete their decision process. \n\nYou should see your payment status change in eServices before the money actually hits your account. The status will switch from \

This is incredibly helpful, thank you! The adjudicator didn't explicitly say I was approved - she just said she had all the information she needed and would process my claim. I'll keep watching eServices for the status change.

I had a similar situation last month. After my adjudication interview, I saw my status change in eServices within 48 hours, and the money was in my account about 24 hours after that. So roughly 3 business days total from interview to payment.\n\nIf you don't see any movement on your claim by next Monday, I'd suggest using Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get back in touch with ESD. It's the only service I've found that actually gets you through to a live agent instead of waiting forever. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 that shows how it works. I was skeptical at first but it saved me from waiting another month for my funds.

Thanks for this! I hadn't heard of Claimyr before but I'll definitely keep it in mind if I don't see movement soon. At this point I can't afford any more delays.

Just to add to what others have said - if your adjudication interview went well and all documentation was in order, you should see changes within 72 hours (3 business days). ESD's current processing time for approved claims after adjudication is 2-4 business days according to their latest performance metrics.\n\nIf your adjudicator mentioned that they needed to verify employment details with your former employer, this could add 1-2 business days to the process. Make sure your identity verification is already completed in the system, as that can cause additional delays if it's still pending.\n\nAlso, verify that your payment method is properly set up in eServices (direct deposit or debit card). Sometimes payments get held up because of banking information issues.

My ID verification was completed weeks ago, so hopefully that won't be an issue. I'm set up for direct deposit and double-checked my banking info is correct. The adjudicator did mention she might need to contact my former employer for verification, so that might add some time. Just hoping it doesn't stretch out much longer.

Calling the Governor's office almost always works! It's ridiculous that this is what we have to do to get ESD to actually look at our claims. Literally every person I know who's had problems with their unemployment claims has had to do this. I waited 12 WEEKS before I tried it, and then suddenly my claim was processed in 4 days. The whole system is broken!!!

EXACTLY! Why do we even bother with the regular phone lines? They intentionally make it impossible to get through. And don't get me started on their message system that they NEVER respond to. We shouldn't have to involve the governor's office just to get basic services we're entitled to.

Update: Just wanted to let everyone know that my status changed to

That's great news! You should see the deposit tomorrow or the next day. So glad it worked out for you!
