TWC payment delay after weeks 3-4 claim - no updates since Nov 4th
Feeling pretty stressed about my TWC payment situation. I submitted my payment request for weeks 3-4 last Monday, but there's absolutely no sign of it processing on the website. My last payment (for week 2) posted on November 4th, so it's been over a week with zero updates. Not sure if this is normal or if something's wrong with my claim now. I tried calling TWC this morning but got the dreaded "call volume too high" message. Filled out their online callback form, which says I'll hear back in 1-2 business days. Just sitting here watching my bank account dwindle. Is this kind of delay typical for payment requests? Should I keep trying to call instead of waiting for the callback? Starting to worry that my claim got flagged for something.

•Thanks for the reassurance. I'm just paranoid because the first two payments came through so quickly, and now suddenly nothing. I'll try to be patient.

This could be a couple of different things. TWC does occasionally have processing delays, but a gap after your first couple of payments could also indicate they're reviewing something specific to your claim. Some common reasons for delays at this point: 1. Work search verification (they sometimes randomly select people to verify their work search activities) 2. Employer response/dispute about your separation reason 3. System flagging something about your payment request 4. Regular processing backlog I'd recommend checking your correspondence inbox on the TWC portal to see if there are any notices or requests for information you might have missed. If nothing there, the callback is your best option.

•I checked my correspondence box and there's nothing new there. I'm thinking it might be the work search verification since I started a part-time job during week 4 (reported it on my payment request). I'll wait for the callback and see what they say.

I HAD THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPEN!! My first two payments came on time then suddenly NOTHING for almost 3 weeks! I was panicking. Turns out there was an "eligibility question" they never even notified me about!? They just silently put my payments on hold. The website showed nothing wrong with my claim too. Had to call about 65 times before getting through. When I finally talked to someone, they fixed it in like 2 minutes and released my payment. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!

•Oh no, that's exactly what I'm afraid of! Did you have to just keep calling repeatedly until you got through? The callback form says 1-2 days but I'm starting to think I should try calling again.

I've been through this multiple times. The callback system can actually work, but sometimes it takes longer than 1-2 days with their current volume. If you're facing financial hardship due to the delay, you might want to try calling again. One trick that's helped me is calling exactly when they open at 7:00 AM. You'll still wait on hold, but your chances of getting through are much better. Last week, I finally got through after a 30 minute hold, only to have them disconnect me right when I was explaining my situation! I was so mad.

•Update: I tried calling this morning right at 7:00 AM like you suggested. After a 30 minute hold, I finally got through! The lady verified all my info including my callback number, then asked why I was calling. Right when I started explaining about my payment delay, the call disconnected! They said they'd call back but I'm still waiting. This is beyond frustrating!

Try Claimyr.com - it's the only reason I got through to TWC after trying for days. They'll call TWC for you and connect you once they get through. Saved me hours of redial hell. There's a video demo if you want to see how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh. Totally worth it when you're waiting on money that should've been in your account already.

•is this legit? seems sketchy to use a third party service when dealing with unemployment...

•It's legitimate - they don't access your TWC account or anything. They just connect the call once they get through. I was skeptical too but was desperate after trying to call for 3 days straight.

•I might try this if I don't hear back by tomorrow. At this point I'm desperate enough to try anything that might work. Rent is coming up fast.

i had a similar issue last month turns out i entered my work search activities wrong and it flagged my account. when i finally got through to TWC they fixed it and i got paid the next day. check your work search stuff especially if you started that part time job

•That's a good point - I did start a part-time job and reported my hours/earnings on the payment request. Maybe that triggered something? I'm not even sure if I needed to list work search activities for that week since I had already found some work.

Just to clarify - even if you found part-time work, you still need to report your 3 work search activities per week unless you're specifically exempt. Working part-time doesn't automatically waive the work search requirement unless you're working 30+ hours and earning more than your weekly benefit amount. If you didn't report work search activities thinking you didn't need to because of the part-time job, that could definitely be causing the delay.

•Oh no... I didn't know that. I thought finding work meant I didn't have to keep searching for that week. I did report my earnings accurately but I think I only listed 1 work search activity for that week instead of 3. That's probably what's holding everything up!

UPDATE: I finally got a callback from TWC today, about 48 hours after submitting the online callback request. The issue was exactly what we suspected - the system flagged my account for a work search verification. The agent reviewed my activities, added some notes to my file, and released my payment. It should be in my account within 2-3 business days. If you haven't heard back yet, I'd recommend trying again first thing tomorrow morning. The early call trick does work!

•Thanks for the update! Glad to hear they resolved it for you. I'm still waiting for my callback - it's been about 24 hours now. I'll give them one more day before trying the early morning call again. At least now I know it's probably the work search verification that's holding things up.
