TWC debit card comes in plain envelope - waiting 2+ weeks after approval
I finally got approved for unemployment on January 17th (after fighting with ID.me for what felt like forever), but I still haven't received my TWC debit card. It's been over two weeks now! Does anyone know if the card comes in an envelope with TWC branding or in some plain/unmarked envelope that I might have missed or thrown away? I'm checking my mail obsessively every day and starting to worry. How long did everyone else wait for their cards to arrive?

The TWC ReliaCard comes in a PLAIN WHITE ENVELOPE from U.S. Bank - NOT from TWC! This trips up so many people. It looks like junk mail or a credit card offer, so be careful not to throw it away. There's no TWC logo on the outside envelope at all.

•Omg thank you! I've been tossing anything that looks like credit card offers. Going to check my recycling bin right now...

It typically takes 7-10 business days after approval to receive the card, so you're definitely in the window where it should've arrived by now. If you can't find it, you should call U.S. Bank ReliaCard customer service at 800-657-6343 to check if it was sent and possibly request a replacement.

•That's slightly reassuring. I'm worried because I really need this money to cover rent next week. Did yours come in a plain envelope too?

I got so sick of waiting for my TWC card that I just set up direct deposit through the payment options section on the TWC portal. You can actually log in to your TWC account and change your payment method from debit card to direct deposit any time. Took about 3 business days to process the change for me, and then payments went straight to my checking account.

•I didn't know I could switch it! That's really helpful, thank you. I'll set that up today just in case.

When I was trying to reach TWC about my missing card last month, I kept getting busy signals for DAYS. Finally used a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me through to a real TWC agent in about 20 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh. The agent told me my card had been returned to sender because of a typo in my address, and they fixed it right there. Saved me weeks of waiting!

•I've heard of that service. Does it actually work? I always assumed those "skip the line" services were scams.

FYI the post office has been TERRIBLE lately! My neighbor got her mail delivered to me last week and i had a package that said delivered but didn't show up for 3 more days!! Maybe call your local post office too?

•That's a good point. Our mail has been really inconsistent lately too.

One more thing - if you can't find the card and need to request a replacement, be prepared to wait another 7-10 business days. If you're in a financial pinch, definitely switch to direct deposit like someone suggested above. Your existing funds will transfer to the new payment method.

•UPDATE: You guys were right! I found it in a stack of mail I had set aside. Plain white envelope from U.S. Bank, looked exactly like junk mail. I've already set up direct deposit for future payments though. Thanks everyone for your help!
