PA UC payment delay to Money Network card - still nothing at 6am after pay date
So frustrated right now! My payment date for PA unemployment was YESTERDAY, but it's already 6:07am the next morning and still nothing on my Money Network card. I've been up since 5am checking because I need to get groceries and pay my phone bill today. Is this normal for it to take this long after the pay date? Also, I keep seeing something about a 'boost' option on Money Network - is that something I should be using to get my UC money faster? Thanks to anyone who can help, I'm getting really worried and the UC office doesn't open for hours.

•Oh no, seriously?? I'm freaking out because rent is due tomorrow. Should I just keep checking or call someone? And thanks for the heads up about the boost thing - I almost fell for it!

This is actually happening to quite a few people this week. The PA Treasury processes the payments, and they sometimes have processing delays. Most payments hit the Money Network card between 2-6am after your payment date, but occasionally they can be delayed up to 24 hours. As for the "boost" feature, that's a Money Network option that lets you access funds earlier for a fee. I would avoid it since your regular payment should arrive soon without any extra charges.

•Thank you for explaining! I'll try to be patient then. Would calling the UC service center help speed things up at all?

•I had this happen last month. Drove me nuts all day checking every 30 mins! Mine finally showed up at 2pm. The UC rep told me they send the payment file to Money Network on your pay date, but then Money Network has their own processing time. Nothing UC can do to speed it up once they've sent it over.

THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS BROKEN!! I've had payments show up 2 DAYS LATE with no explanation! And when you try calling UC to ask about it you get busy signals for HOURS. They just don't care that people have bills due. And that boost thing is just another way for them to steal money from desperate people who need their benefits NOW not whenever some computer decides to process it. The whole thing is designed to PUNISH us for needing help!!!!

•I get your frustration but sometimes there are legitimate processing delays. The Treasury handles thousands of payments daily. I've found that payments usually post by mid-afternoon if they didn't arrive overnight. If it doesn't show up by tomorrow morning, that's when you should start making calls.

Have you tried using the Money Network app to check instead of calling the card number? Sometimes the app shows pending deposits before they're fully available. Also make sure you activated your card correctly - I thought mine was delayed once but I hadn't finished all the verification steps.

•I didn't even know there was an app! Just downloaded it but it's showing the same balance as the website. My card has been working fine for weeks, so I think it's activated correctly. This waiting is killing me though.

When I was having issues reaching PA UC about delayed payments, I used a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an agent. They have a system that keeps calling the UC line for you until it connects. Saved me hours of frustration and busy signals. They have a video that shows how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 I was able to confirm my payment was actually processed and just delayed in posting to my card. Gave me peace of mind instead of stressing all day.

•Definitely worked for me. Got through in about 20 minutes when I'd been trying for days on my own.

Just so you know, if your payment doesn't appear by the end of business today, you should check your PA UC dashboard to make sure there wasn't an issue with your weekly certification or an open issue on your claim. Sometimes payments get held up if there's a problem with the claim itself rather than just a processing delay.

•Just checked my dashboard and it says payment date was yesterday with status 'processed' - I guess that means it's just delayed in getting to my card? Will keep waiting but might try that Claimyr service if it doesn't show up by afternoon.

This happened to me twice in January. Both times I was panicking, but the money showed up around 10am-11am. The UC rep I eventually spoke with explained that there are different processing batches that run throughout the day. First batch usually hits overnight, but if you miss that cutoff, you might be in the mid-morning or afternoon batch. Whatever you do, don't pay for that boost feature! It's just Money Network trying to collect fees for something that will happen anyway.

•Thanks everyone for the help! Just wanted to update - my payment FINALLY showed up at 11:32am. Such a relief! Definitely wasn't worth paying for that boost thing.
