Just so you know, if your payment doesn't appear by the end of business today, you should check your PA UC dashboard to make sure there wasn't an issue with your weekly certification or an open issue on your claim. Sometimes payments get held up if there's a problem with the claim itself rather than just a processing delay.
Just checked my dashboard and it says payment date was yesterday with status 'processed' - I guess that means it's just delayed in getting to my card? Will keep waiting but might try that Claimyr service if it doesn't show up by afternoon.
This happened to me twice in January. Both times I was panicking, but the money showed up around 10am-11am. The UC rep I eventually spoke with explained that there are different processing batches that run throughout the day. First batch usually hits overnight, but if you miss that cutoff, you might be in the mid-morning or afternoon batch. Whatever you do, don't pay for that boost feature! It's just Money Network trying to collect fees for something that will happen anyway.
Thanks everyone for the help! Just wanted to update - my payment FINALLY showed up at 11:32am. Such a relief! Definitely wasn't worth paying for that boost thing.
i think its because of the job search requirements. They doing extra checks cuz so many people not doing their work searches right. My buddy got audited last week and they made him prove all his job contacts. Make sure yall keeping records!!!!
oh crap i havent been saving my job search stuff. just putting in the system. are we supposed to keep copies??
**UPDATE: PA UC has now posted on their official Twitter that there was a processing delay affecting claims filed 5/10-5/12. All claims are being processed and payments should appear in accounts on their regular schedule or with a 1-day delay at most. They apologize for the confusion and recommend not calling about this specific issue as it's being resolved system-wide.**
ugh classic PA UC mess up! glad u got it sorted out but so annoying about the 2 week delay 😠make sure u keep filing ur weekly claims while u wait for the new hearing!!!
Thanks for the update. This is exactly the kind of clerical error I suspected. Make sure you use these two weeks to thoroughly prepare for your hearing. Review all your documents, practice explaining your case clearly and concisely, and be ready to address any points your employer might raise. Good luck with your hearing!
I had a somewhat similar situation happen with my claim back in February. I ended up using the message center in my dashboard instead of calling. I sent a detailed message explaining exactly what happened and asking them to fix the issue. Surprisingly, they responded within 2 days and fixed it! My payment was processed the next day. Worth a try if you can't get through on the phone.
I'll try the message center right now! Did you use any specific wording that seemed to help get a faster response?
I made sure to put "URGENT PAYMENT ISSUE" in the subject line, and then I was very specific about what happened and included my last 4 SSN digits and claim confirmation number in the message. I think being super clear about the problem helped.
UPDATE: I finally got through to someone! I tried that Claimyr service that someone suggested above and it actually worked. Got connected to a PA UC rep in about 30 minutes. They explained that I accidentally started a Break in Claim when the ID verification popped up. The rep was able to fix it and release my payment! It should be on my Money Network card by tomorrow. Thank you all for the help and suggestions!
That's great news! Glad you got it sorted out. For future reference, whenever you see anything unusual during your weekly certification, it's best to slow down and read everything carefully. The system doesn't always make it clear what you're actually doing.
sweet!! good to hear u got ur money

you should probably report amazon to the EEOC too!!!! what they did is basically discrimination if they knew he had disabilities and didnt help him when it was getting too much. my friend's brother got a settlement from his employer for something similar

•This!!! The unemployment appeal is just one part of it. Amazon's behavior sounds like it violated multiple laws. Document everything!

Since he has a new job now, one thing to keep in mind: Pennsylvania UC benefits are calculated based on your highest quarterly earnings during the base year. So even though he's employed now, those past earnings at Amazon still matter for his benefit eligibility and amount. That $8,800 is likely based on his earnings there, and he's entitled to those benefits if he was wrongfully terminated. For the appeal to the Board of Review, be very specific about the timeline: when he was hired, when Amazon became aware of his disabilities, when incidents occurred, when accommodation was requested, etc. Timeline clarity helps demonstrate the causal relationship between his disability, Amazon's failure to accommodate, and the incidents that led to termination.

•That's a great point about being specific with the timeline. I'm going to put together a detailed chronology tonight. The referee seemed to get confused about the sequence of events, which probably didn't help our case. And you're right about the benefit calculation - his Amazon wages were higher than his current job, which is why the benefit amount is so significant.
