PA UC direct deposit to Chime showing delayed today - anyone else?

I normally get my PA unemployment payment to my Chime account by 10am on Tuesdays but nothing's shown up yet today (it's almost 2pm now). Getting kinda worried since I have bills scheduled to autopay tomorrow. Anyone else using Chime for their UC payments? Have you been paid today? Wondering if it's just me or if there's some system delay happening with PA UC deposits to Chime specifically.

Same boat! My UC payment usually hits Chime around 9:30am but nothing yet. Already filed my weekly claim on Sunday like always. PA website still shows 'payment issued' but nothing in my account.

At least I'm not alone! Did you call the PA UC payment line to check if they actually sent it? I'm worried maybe there's an issue with my claim this week.

mine came thru at 1130 to chime

Really?? That's weird that yours went through but not mine. Did anything change with your claim recently?

I don't use Chime but I've had this happen with my credit union before. Sometimes the ACH transfers get held up somewhere between PA Treasury and the banks. If your UC dashboard shows "payment issued" then the money is probably just stuck in transit. It'll probably show up by end of day.

Hope ur right... last time this happened to me it was becuz they randomly decided to review my work search activities and nobody bothered to tell me!!! Then it took 3 weeks to get my $$$

This happens occasionally with electronic transfers. If your PA UC portal shows that payment was issued, I wouldn't worry too much yet. However, if you need to verify that everything is okay with your claim, you should try to speak with a UC representative. If you can't get through on the phone lines (which is common), I'd recommend trying Claimyr (claimyr.com). They have a service that helps you get through to a PA UC agent without waiting on hold all day. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 showing how it works. I used it last month when I had a similar issue with a delayed payment and was able to confirm there wasn't actually a problem with my claim - the money showed up the next day.

Thanks, I might try that if it doesn't show up by tomorrow morning. I'm going to call my bank first to see if they can see any pending deposits that just haven't cleared yet.

This is likely due to the batch processing schedule at the PA Treasury Department. They send out UC payments in multiple batches throughout the day and week. Direct deposits to different financial institutions are processed at different times. Some facts to keep in mind: 1. PA UC payments are typically processed 2-3 business days after you file your weekly claim 2. Once processed, the Treasury Department initiates the transfer 3. Some banks like Chime may show deposits earlier than traditional banks 4. If your payment status shows "Payment Issued" on the PA UC portal, the money has been sent 5. There can sometimes be 1-2 day delays at certain times of the month I'd suggest checking your UC dashboard to confirm the payment status before assuming there's a problem.

My status says "payment issued" but date is yesterday. Usually means I get it TODAY with Chime. Really hope its not another "random review" situation!!!!

OMG I LITERALLY CAME HERE TO POST THE SAME THING!!!! My UC payment ALWAYS hits my Chime account by 11am and its now 3:30pm and NOTHING!!! I'm freaking out cause rent is due and my landlord is already mad from last month when I was late. Why does the PA unemployment system have to be so FRUSTRATING!?!?!?!?

Take a breath - if your UC dashboard shows it's been issued, it's probably just delayed in processing. Banks and financial services like Chime sometimes have their own internal delays too.

UPDATE: My payment just hit my Chime account at 4:15pm! Way later than usual but at least it came through. Anyone else get theirs yet?

Just got mine too! What a relief. Guess it was just a system delay today.

STILL waiting on mine...ugh. Did you guys do anything special or just wait?

This happened to me last week too with Chime. I think there might be some changes on their end with how they're processing government payments. My friend who gets SSI had the same issue last week where his payment was about 6 hours later than normal. One thing that's helped me is setting up the Transaction alerts in the Chime app so I get notified immediately when the deposit hits rather than checking constantly. Also, for future reference, it's good to have a small emergency buffer if you can so you're not cutting it so close with bills.

That's good advice about the transaction alerts - just set that up! And yeah, I'm trying to build up a buffer but it's been tough since I lost my job. Hopefully I'll find something soon and not have to deal with UC payments anymore.

Mine FINALLY came through at 6:20pm!!! Never been this late before. Seems like something weird was happening with Chime and PA UC today. At least we all got paid eventually!
