PA UC Dashboard Attachments Not Opening - Tried Multiple Devices
I'm having a super frustrating issue with my PA unemployment account. None of the attachments in my dashboard will open when I click on them. I've tried downloading my determination letters, the job search form, and even the overpayment notice I supposedly received (which is making me panic). I've tried using my laptop, my phone, and even my husband's computer but nothing works. Just spinning wheels then error messages. Has anyone else run into this problem? I'm worried I'm missing important deadlines because I can't see what these documents say!

•Exactly! I got that Adobe error too but I checked and Adobe is definitely installed and working fine. Did you find any solution yet?

This happens sometimes when the UC system is doing updates. What browser are you using? I've found that Chrome works better than Firefox or Edge for the PA UC portal. Also, try clearing your cache and cookies before logging in again. That fixed a similar issue for me last month.

•I'm using Chrome already, but I'll definitely try clearing my cache. Thanks for the suggestion! How long did it take to start working again for you?

•It started working immediately after I cleared my cache. If that doesn't work, try downloading the latest version of Adobe Reader DC and setting it as your default PDF application. The UC system can be picky about which version you're using.

I HATE THE UC WEBSITE!!! It's always broken!! I had this EXACT problem last week and wasted THREE DAYS trying to fix it! Then missed my appeal deadline because I couldn't open the instructions!!! They're doing this ON PURPOSE to deny people benefits!!!! The whole system is RIGGED against us!!

•Oh no that's terrible! Did they at least let you file your appeal late since it was their system error? I'm worried about missing something important too.

I've run into this issue several times with the PA UC portal. From my experience, there are a few technical solutions worth trying: 1. Check if your browser is blocking pop-ups (the attachments often open in a new window) 2. Try using an incognito/private browsing window 3. Make sure you have the latest browser version installed 4. Temporarily disable any ad blockers or security extensions 5. If you're on mobile, switch to Desktop View in your browser settings If none of these work, you should request that they mail you physical copies of the documents. You have that right.

•Thank you for the detailed suggestions! I just tried the incognito window and it still didn't work. I'll try disabling my ad blocker next. How do I request physical copies? Is there a specific form or do I just call them?

I had this exact problem last month and after trying everything, I finally got through to an actual UC rep who fixed it on their end. I used Claimyr to get through to someone instead of calling for hours. Just went to claimyr.com and they got me connected to a live agent in about 20 minutes. The agent explained it was a problem with my account settings and fixed it right away. You can see how it works in their demo video: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2

•Thanks for the suggestion! I've been trying to call them for days with no luck. Did they tell you what specifically was wrong with your account settings? I'm wondering if it's the same issue.

•They said something about my account security settings conflicting with the document viewer. The rep had to reset something on their end - not something I could fix myself. They also mentioned this happens a lot when they push system updates.

•Which Adobe version worked? I'm still having the same issue and it's making me so anxious I can't see what they're sending me!

Another thing to check - go to your PA UC inbox settings and make sure your email address is correctly entered. Sometimes the system glitches when sending notification emails about attachments, which can affect how they open in your dashboard. Also, if you're using a smartphone, download the official Adobe Reader app instead of trying to open PDFs in your browser. The mobile browser compatibility with the UC portal is notoriously bad.

UPDATE: I finally got it working! For anyone having the same problem, here's what worked for me: 1. Cleared all browser cache and cookies 2. Disabled my ad blocker completely 3. Downloaded Adobe Reader DC (not Adobe Acrobat) 4. Restarted my computer 5. Logged in through an incognito window Thank you everyone for your help! I can finally see my documents. Turns out I did have an overpayment notice but it's just for $87 from when I reported my part-time hours incorrectly. Much less scary than I imagined!

•Glad you got it working! And yes, overpayment notices always sound scarier than they sometimes are. Make sure to respond to that notice within the timeframe if you want to contest it. Even small overpayments can be appealed if you think the calculation is incorrect.

•$87 isn't bad at all! Mine was $4,300!!! Still fighting it because it was THEIR mistake not mine!
